Noticing posts with down votes (I had one myself) even though the ability to do so was taken away on newer posts. So guessing here it is a mod or mods able to do so. Seems like something a pussy would do to down vote while being afraid of others down votes. Kind of the liberal way of doing things. Just my .02.

Some stated it is still possible with API's, but I don't know what is and isn't possible but the general impression is that removing the button just hides the button so to say, not the process.

Ah...thanks for explaining. I am still relatively new to Reddit so assumed only a mod could do it since I don't see the down vote button.
