Gingrich: Additional Clinton health reports won’t count
Newt Gingrich is getting ahead of Hillary Clinton’s plan to smooth over concerns about her health, already discrediting her promised released of additional medical documents.
“I don't think us getting a doctor's report is going to count because the doctors have not been forthcoming and haven't been open to the press asking questions,” Gingrich said Monday night on Fox News' "Hannity."

Following a heavily scrutinized incident where the Democratic nominee stumbled into a van while exiting a Sept. 11 memorial event Sunday, questions about her physical well-being have dominated the political landscape. After revealing that Clinton had been diagnosed with pneumonia Friday, the campaign and its allies tried to quell concerns of any major health concerns.
To pacify critics, the Clinton camp announced Monday it would be releasing additional health documents, reiterating her clean bill of health in reports past.
On Monday night, Gingrich — the former House speaker who reportedly was reportedly in contention to become Donald Trump’s running mate prior to the selection of Mike Pence — tried to disqualify any forthcoming documents by the Clinton campaign.
Gingrich, who earlier Friday told Fox that Clinton was “beginning to fall apart," said the weekend’s events should raise questions for voters across the spectrum.
“If you want us to think you can be commander in chief but you can't remember your security briefing, and you can't go to the 9/11 event without collapsing, what is it you have to do to convince us that you are capable of being commander in chief?” he said.
The former House speaker also blasted Clinton’s comment at a Friday rally that half of Trump’s supporters belonged in the “basket of deplorables” — a statement she has since backed off from.
"You have the combination of this whole litany of hostility with the propensity to lie,” he said. “And it's the two together that I think begin to teach us how sick modern liberalism is and how out of touch with reality is.”
