See this thread for an example of how they all trip over themselves when somebody smart actually challenges their dogma. This can be seen all over academia. Mathematicians (or mythematicians) are caught up in lies originating from Euler and don't stop to think. For a real look at mathematics google "John Gabriels new calculus", and consider nominating him for the Abel prize. He is truly the greatest mathematician since Archimedes.

This should be fun. Let's see if r/conspiracy can understand this.

Draw a square whose sides are all length one. Draw a diagonal. Call the length of that diagonal x.

Now draw four squares, all with side length one, in a grid so they form a square with sides of length 2. This big square has area 2 times 2 = 4.

Now draw diagonal in each of the four smaller squares so that they meet at the midpoints of the big squares, forming a square with sides of length x.

This new square is half the area of the big square. This new square has area x times x equals x2. So x2 = 4/2 = 2. So x is the square root of 2.

Now, r/consipracy, tell me, is OP correct in claiming that my saying sqrt(2) is a number is some sort of vast conspiracy of mathematicians? Or is perhaps OP just not that smart?

To play devil's advocate, if you divided the number of atoms inside the big square by the number of atoms in this middle square, you would get a rational number, by the definition of a rational number.

Not if the atoms are arranged in a perfectly square pattern. The diagonals would cut through some of the atoms.

I'm not a math guy, but I do find it interesting that most of the people who have created the "sciences" were all a part of ancient mystery/majick schools. I'm not sure why people would think all these people would have to be in on it, if Academia is gate keeping knowledge, tis all they know and they continue teaching the lie without even knowing it.

I like to think of it like this: We can program video games and such with xyz physics/environment. People inside that game only know xyz physics and are bounded by what the "programmer" created. Every now and then someone comes along and is able to hack xyz physics, and various constructs in the game. I think Nikola Tesla (and others) hacked the physics , showing us that really, there truly are no "physics", but a box they keep us in for control....

Just my trippy two cents.

There's actually already a theory based off of this type of idea, the Frankfurt School was created to continue formulating the concept. Basically the creators of the school were concerned about exactly what you've said: existence is naturally abstract, and how schools use the same criteria to teach students of how to understand existence can potentially limit human potential. There are lots of areas to look into regarding this, it's a really cool concept to play with in your mind because it's true.
