Used to be that having a 5 a clock shadow would work, but no so much these days. You can go without shaving for 3 days, that usually signals low status as well. Keep your shoes slightly dirty. If they got some holes in them, the better. Women always check out a mans shoes. So something slightly unfashionable is good. In a social situation it's best to come of as slightly awkward and shy. But polite. Some guys may try to use you as a stepping stone to impress ladies because of that, so that might rub your ego the wrong way.
