Section 29 of the reddit user agreement clearly stipulates that users agree to not "make it difficult for anyone else to use reddit due to your actions, attempt to manipulate votes or reddit’s systems...", among other clear examples of disruptive conduct.
This is in direct conflict with the current (and longstanding) CSS stylesheet used on /r/ShitRedditSays which is designed to create the appearance that an 'upvote' on a post or comment is in fact a 'downvote', and vice versa.
This is understandably quite confusing for new users of reddit as well as redditors who are browsing /r/ShitRedditSays for the first time. This confusion makes it difficult for those users to properly use the reddit voting system to determine the popularity and prevalence of content, as is the original intention of the positive/negative karma system. This can also be seen as an attempt to manipulate reddit votes as it may, to the full knowledge of the subreddit's moderators, blatantly mislead naive users who wish to downvote a comment by instead awarding that comment or post an upvote against their knowledge and willing.

Sorry to pick you out like this, it's just that you are the more active admins on the website that I see around the place dealing with community issues. I appreciate you guys have your own lives and busy jobs to be putting your time into, however, I feel I speak accurately on behalf of many of the users here as well as across reddit in that we would greatly appreciate consistency in the application of sanctions against reddit communities that violate the site's rules and/or user agreement.
Could you please give us some insight as to why /r/ShitRedditSays is exempt from punishment over these violations? If there are no violations being made in your view, we'd appreciate an explanation as to why there is so much leniency in this specific instance yet there are subreddits such as /r/european that receive a quarantine, presumably for offensive content, while subreddits like /r/watchpeopledie and /r/ImGoingToHellForThis roam free of quarantine. I don't wish to be harrassing here, I am simply looking for some clarification, explanation and justification to clear up the perceived inconsistency in treatment of different reddit communities by the reddit administration.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
A mildly concerned and overly invested redditor
