At some point, someone started reporting everything, causing automod to respond to every comment in every thread. Rather than doing anything about it, the mods thought it was funny, and made automod respond to every single fucking post. That was pretty annoying, but I could tolerate it. Now the mods have decided that it would be funny to automatically remove all comments that don't end with "#BlackLivesMatter" because they can't fucking take their stupid subreddit seriously at all.

Has anyone got any information on what's been going on with that sub? I hadn't heard anything about it until there was the drama with the racist header which turned into a pro Hillary thing. And now this. Have the mods there always been trolls or did something recent happen?

Also subs still get into trouble for abusing Automoderator. I can't imagine Deimorz is too pleased with this. God I hope he logs in to AutoModerator and unmods it as punishment... The shit show of a sub that large losing a bot would be amazing.

Actually supposedly there's more to this story. Check the moderators of the subreddit, and view their history. One said they were being harassed and threatened by the other mods.

I'm currently still subbed because the gifs themselves are still funny, but all this meta bullshit is just painful.

I actually got banned for complaining about the AutoModerator thing and the mod who replied just wasn't having any of it at all, insisting that a joke poll they did about it was serious and just brushing me off with the same copy-paste response repeatedly before banning me for "subverting democracy".

Was gonna try to message about that sometime, but I don't even know if there'd be a point the way it is now. :/

As someone on the left of the political spectrum, I just unsubbed as well. I love the content, but I hate seeing the mods mock movements that I actually think are legitimate, which is really all this new CSS bullshit is about. It's just sad and immature.
