How were the AAA Girls Chosen? (self.rupaulsdragrace)

Undoubtedly, Willam, Courtney, and Alaska are three of the most talented girls to ever be on RPDR. But how were they chosen to be featured in the American Apparel Ads? Commercial appeal? Size of following? Why was it them over, say, Adore/Detox/Alyssa, or DeLa/Milk/MRaja, or Manila/Raven/Juju?

I think their following was a big part of it. Alaska and Willam are both hugely popular and while Courtney isn't so big for a lot of people, she's gorgeous, looks good on a shirt, and is fresh on the mind.

Probably because of their singing ability (They sing together, right?), their varying personalities, and the fact that they kinda look like a girl group.

I do not believe they sang together as a group before the AA ad. The real answer is dreammarauder's: Johnny Makeup worked with both Willam and Courtney in the series Transfashionable.
