I feel pretty bad about how badly our midfield got bossed first half of the derby. I would say I agree with the general sentiment that Pogba would do much better in a 4-3-3. After seeing his pass in the buildup to Martial's first goal on the front page of the sub, can't help but feel like Basti could be the perfect one right behind Pogba, and in front of the DM. Certainly not a permanent solution given his age, but for just for now, I could see it being great. The Schmidfield + Pogba? Sounds pretty ideal to me. Liverpool bought Dejan Lovren solely based on the season where Schneiderlin made Southampton's defense look inpenetrable. Lovren's looked shady ever since moving to Liverpool... And we've never really given Schneiderlin a chance at DM. I also remember at some point during LVG's reign, there was a statistic on MOTD of our performance with and without Schneiderlin, and we were winning far more with him. Should we give this less-mentioned combination a chance? Should we be giving Schweini more of a chance? I think so. Just an opinion. Let me know what you all think!
