I’m don’t really agree with everything Manila wrote. I think Michelle Visage was clear that Rolaskatox had to knock it off or they’d be in trouble. Deciding to end their group doesn’t have to mean that the friendship is over; I see it more as Alaska acknowledging that she is going to be her own person and to really compete for the title. And as much as I like Manila, I think the Heathers were not kind when they started calling other girls Boogers. Roxxxy has snipped at Jinkx but Rolaskatox never, ever created a second group of people to look down upon and refer to as Boogers.

I like how later in the comments she says that 'bullying bullies for being bullies doesn't help anything'.

So, are you saying bullying is okay? Honestly this post really knocked my perception of her down about five pegs. I had always assumed (hoped) that the Heathers all felt a little silly about it after the fact, and seeing how they came across on TV. Apparently not. Gross.

My own Drag Confession bear I always thought Manila was super annoying. Beautiful but annoying.

I don't blame Alaska for "leaving" Rolaskatox. She needs to step up her game and stand as just "Alaska" not the "laska in Rolaskatox". Also Manila seems to be saying Alaska is completely ditching her friends, when it's more of her just wanting to focus more on herself.

It is a competition, after all. You're not there to make friends.

For real. She's gonna compare Alaska to Peter the apostle? That seems a little excessive.

This is the craziest drag race related thing I've read, so let me delurk. Did she really just compare Alaska's decision not to perpetuate a divisive in-crowd clique, because one of the judges has repeatedly expressed her hate for it, to the Denial of Peter? WTF.

Why is she even defending Heathers? And by attacking someone? That's a funny way to show you're not a bully.

Manila is trying to bring Bible realness to Drag Race, apparently.

What is a Peter?

[–]scruff_mcbuff 5ポイント6ポイント  (1子コメント)

The subject of many baroque paintings. Jesus's disciple who denied knowing him when the lynch mobs came to collect him.

I had an idea of it, and a google search would have helped me out, but thank you for humoring me being difficult. I will reward you with flair of your choice.

Whatever she wrote, it's not there anymore. Now you all have me curious.

"Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak..." (1 Corinthians 14:34)

Woman, be silent in church and don't spread bullshit on FB. The Heathers were a bunch of bullies and it's completely delusional to deny that. It's one thing to be shady for the fun of it (a la Juju or Mariah) and another to be a presumptious asshole. I live for Manila and consider her one of the most talented queens ever but the whole Heathers thing was crap.

I agree with the comments that are pointing that the Heathers were more ready to read and call the other girls boogers, yet, I loved them as a group. And I did feel that Rolaskatox was getting on my nerves, specially holding hands in the Runway. What do you guys think?

I'm actually really proud of Alaska and can't wait to see how the rest of the episode plays out. I think she made a mature and honestly very brave decision - she pulled a Neville Longbottom and stood up to her friends. Roxxy and Detox are both such strong personalities that if she stayed attached at the hip with them, she would have gone home for fading into the background some day very soon. I really hope she shines tonight, because I give her a lot of credit for giving up the comfort of being in a clique.

And I'm with you, I know the Heathers could be obnoxious but frankly I loved them. I did not love Rolaskatox.

10 points to you for the fabulous HP reference. It was perfection.

I know what you mean in both cases. Alaska was very smart in the way she addressed her concerns. I mean, Michelle Visage is perhaps one of the judges that can make the road harder for a queen (Like Alexis and Chad) so I think Alaska is making a smart move by listening to her feedback. And you get my upvote for the HP Reference. I love Neville.

I love Manila, but I think she's taking the comparisons between the Heathers and RoLaskaTox too seriously. It's clear Alaska did this to stand out more on her own, and besides, none of the queens this season really seemed to give much of a shit about RoLaskaTox. Jinkx mentioned them like once in passing, and other than that it was just them picking each other for challenges and making a Facebook page, really.

I don't really like Manila's comments. I'm all for inclusion, not exclusion, so the whole Heathers clique rubbed me the wrong way that season. What Manila says about denying your friends doesn't make sense to me--you can be friends with folks without stamping a big label on it and using that label to then "other" the people you've excluded... And I do think the Heathers were, on some level, being mean-spirited in that respect.

I know that some have said they were really being tongue-in-cheek or satirical, but I got the sense that they really did want to passive-aggressively psych out the "boogers," and I find that off-putting.

[–]hamoboyPaleho did nothing wrong! 1ポイント2ポイント  (0子コメント)

Shangela was aggressive-aggressively trying to psych Manila and company out, like when she went after Manila for asian stereotypes. Alexis, and even Yara were happy to agree with everything Shangela said. I don't blame the Heathers for circling the wagons, rifles pointing outward.

What's the big deal with Heathers? They all die in the movie. Peoples are too sensitive.
