This site is but a mere shadow of the old DAILYPAUL site.
When I first came here I thought this would help replace the void left when the DailyPaul shut down.
The DailyPaul was dedicated to supporting the liberty ideals of Dr. Ron Paul.
But looking at some of the posts here makes me realize that his site has very little to do with liberty.
Frankly I'm not sure what this site is about anymore.
The old DailyPaul was full of information about liberty-related themes. It was a font of useful and informative information.
So I assumed a site with a name like this one would have been similar.
But it didn't turn out that way.
All you have to do is look at the last few of pages of posts to see what I'm talking about.
What exactly does "A Call To Paul" mean?
Which Paul are we calling???
About the author
"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed and over-regulated and overrun by bureaucrats - the founders would be ashamed." -Ron PaulWe're on http://www.unitingfortrump.com/. I know I've invited this group to join us there before. We're still there and if you're missing DP, take a look at our site. If you are comfortable with what you see, then sign up and join in the conversations. Log in traffic isn't high but, there are over 300 members who are lurking and voting up posts. Maybe this kind of forum isn't fast enough for the Twitter people; hence the lower log in figures. You will know some of the screen names; others have changed theirs but, they are still from the Daily Paul. Supporting Trump is not a requirement. Being civil is. Hope to see you there!

I too miss to DP/PL. I had high hopes for this site and used to comment and post a lot at first. But mainly it
Lacks the traffic needed to have good debate and conversation. Some posts get no comments at all. 5 is considered a lot. The DP/PL sites used to get hundreds for some topics. I like this site format and don't mind the content so much, but wish there was more traffic to create the buzz and enthusiasm we used to feel. I think many of us are disappointed and disillusioned by now because there is not much possibility in politics to have the libertarian moment. I got very down after Rand failed to draw the support needed to win. Trump came out of no where and took the wind out of his sails. While I like how Trump has fractured the establishment Republican Party, I crave a more ideological and principled statesman like the Pauls or the like. I am still a voracious reader of political news and libertarian philosophy, but I lost the energy to stay engaged with posting and commenting. I think I am just dumbfounded by this election cycle.
AKA Sunshine_State at Popular Liberty
If you can't trust people with freedom, how can you trust people with power?
Freedom is a state of mind.

I've hosted an internet forum that I started from scratch. It's quite a learning process. It's not money intensive, but it's very time intensive. There's quite a bit of wing flapping to get the site working as wanted. The hardest part for me was customizing the forum software to get it to look right. This is tough if you don't have a graphic design background and web programming experience. You can pay to have it done, of course, but you've got to do it on your own if you're on a budget with a small site. I appreciate this site and have an idea of the effort involed to set it up.
Popular Liberty was great and had a lot of custom features that made it attractive to users and easy for them to use. Michael Nystrom is to be commended for creating PL that became quite a magnet for liberty-minded folks. pawnstorm, start your own PL2 website. Show us how it should be done. :)
cast many shadows
This is not a zero sum game
All our knowledge begins with the senses, proceeds then to the understanding, and ends with reason. There is nothing higher than reason.
Immanuel Kant
This site was not named for Ron or Rand. It was named for Paul Revere. If you have read the headers you would have known this.
The people from the Daily Paul have all been dispersed throughout other sites.
Some I think may be like this one, some are for Trump, some where for Bernie, some went to libertarian blogs, some stick to Facebook.
We were splintered, I hope one day we can all connect again.
Not that many post in here, some can't get in, some have left because of me some say, not believing I have that much power so I feel they went to Trump sites.
Haven't seen Ann here in a while. Hoping she will come back soon and straighten things out.
The posts that are posted in here are fine. I have found value in many, I feel it is the lack of debate that is missing. The debate we were used to at the Old Daily Paul.
#IStandWithRandAndLiberty!
I am dumbfounded at the choices for president this year. Well really for the last 8 presidential years.
Thanks for clearing that up.
I will look at this site in a new light now.
But I don't see most of the posts as having much to do with liberty.
I guess I don't get it.
