A few words about Zlatan Ibrahimović's performance against Manchester City from today. (self.reddevils)

I've seen a lot of people been out and criticize Ibra for his performance and I must say that it's very unfair towards the Swede.

Let's be honest here; What can a striker like Zlatan do when there's just a mess of counter-attacks (the players were also isolated and the focus was 1-on-1 situations).

Zlatan did what Machester United fans expected him to do; to score a goal. You can't really demant more from a 34-year-old guy. It's not like he's bought for 1 billion and have to prove. He came to UTD as a bosman in order to score, which he did today.

The entire team was bad whereas Zlatan had a good game.

Zlatan wasn't even among the top 5 in our team.

Shaw, Rooney, Herrera, Valencia and Fellaini were all better than him despite not scoring. But I don't think he was "bad". Only Mkhi, Lingard and (less so) Pogva were bad.

So disapointed by Mkhi after very good signs in the few games he played.

It wasn't that but the fact that he kept vollying shots only for them to go into orbit (bar the goal that he scored). A player of his quality should easily keep the ball down in such situations.

He scored. He's productive, he plays. He's like Rooney, except not a captain.

Nah, Ibra lacked composure out there. Maybe it was because of Pep being in his head, him wanting to prove a point in the derby or what not, but he lacked composure. Always snatched at every half chance and shot right away instead of sometimes taking a touch to open up the chance and compose himself. Case in point, that chance right after his goal. Lingard gives him the ball where he can easily roll it on to his right and then finish wherever he wants, nobody close to him. Instead he mishits it with his left right away as if he was surrounded by players and Stones easily gets it. Then second half, always volleying it at first try. He scored one of them, but with some composure he probably would've had at least 1 more. He's better then what he showed today.
