As announced on our gamescom Livestream, the launch of Rise of Iron will herald the arrival of Private Matches to Destiny. When Lord Saladin issues his call to infiltrate the Plaguelands, Lord Shaxx will throw you the keys to the Crucible. From there, the arena will be what you make of it!

You'll be in control - even if you choose not to play Control.

Private Matches

Read all about the menu you'll use to structure your own personal arena. You can create everything from a competitive showdown to a controlled sound-stage for your own stories. The game you host can be casual or competitive.

Clan Roster

](/en/Help/Troubleshoot?oid=45081)** Every Private Match will take place in a personal clubhouse that bears the name of the Clan that controls it. You won't need to be in a Clan to host your own match. As any Clan Overlord can attest, an active roster makes it easier to fill a lobby.

To set some expectations for how Guardians can fight for honor and riches, we're kicking things off with some basic guidelines.

      I play Dota and I love the "1v1" me comments. I was playing with some friends a couple of years ago and they were pretty new and getting flamed pretty heavily by a random on our team. I told him to stop and he started flaming me and challenged me to a 1v1.

      I agreed and entered a 1v1 with him. He had 3 of is buddies join to heckle me (they hopped on our mumble server) and my friends just kinda stayed quiet. I crushed the guy (I'm not great, he was just bad) and ended up being magnanimous in victory as I didn't make him fork over his arcanas as was the bet. Apparently he threw a fit on their teamspeak server and logged off. They invited me to play, but I left pretty quickly after the following match as they were super hard core racists and it was weird.

                Upon completing a Private Match, players may earn loot in the Post Game Activity Rewards screen. Only Rare gear can be awarded.

                Exotic Engrams cannot drop from Three of Coins, and the Exotic Particles affect granted by Three of Coins will not be consumed upon the completion of a Private Match.

                What part are you stuck on? For the longest time I thought it needs to be completed 100% in pvp, but you can actually get the headshot streaks done in pve. Once I found out, I loaded up Siege of the Warmind and had it done in 5 minutes.

                The six precision kills in a match... My right hand is fubar.... I play using left rear buttons on a controller mirroring my right shoulders/triggers but swapped. I aim using my right thumb which is slow and imprecise. I can compensate for most weapons(unless the enemy starts hopping up and down) but hand cannons are a pain.

                I can get kills with them; precision kills are a lot harder.

                            Strikes are by far the fastest way to grind out glimmer to buy the materials along with all the engrams, I get about 4-10 engrams from every 10-15 minute strike,as opposed to 1-3 engrams from every PVP match in 10-15 minutes.

                                    Eh, that one is much easier than Crucible though. I can pot shot the Minotaur with a primary, pop a synth if I run out of ammo, and make damn sure I got the shot. In Crucible you have to make sure you get heavy and sometimes I'll get killed before I can use my heavy or get super'd when trying to pick it up.

                                                                        I hope people realize this is private match making and not Custom Games. Ive seen a lot of people believing that they will have a no supers, infinite heavy, no double jumping, sword swinging match with no shields. That is not the case.

                                                                        I mean, you can still have a swords only match but you and your buddies will have to make a gentleman's agreement on that.

                                                                            I think this is a small yet important distinction for players to note. It appears the options for private matches are map, game type, score limit, time limit, LL on/off, time of day, or vehicles on large matches.

                                                                            Didn't appear to be any options to disable heavy or special, exotics only, no supers, sidearms only, etc.

                                                                                  All I can say is that I'm impressed. Private matches are a great move by Bungie. With the Dev Team focused on Destiny 2, this feature is going to revitalize the game and drive playability until Destiny 2.

                                                                                  With this one feature, as we have already seen, player created tournaments are going to pop up. Streamers are going to host amazing contests of skill. Groups of friends are going to be able to play Crucible without the headaches. Sherpas can offer crucible training. This truly is a great addition to the game and a boon to the crucible community as a whole.

                                                                                  I hope that moving forward Bungie takes our feedback and improves on the foundation they have laid down.

                                                                                  Ive seen ample evidence that suggests this too, but if the map is staying exclusive then that means the guns and strike are too, which is kind of upsetting. I was a good patient little boy who waited 12 whole months to start hunting for Jade Rabbit, why do they have to move the goal post when im so close?
