Somehow, I don't think you would see this endless excuse making for Trump supporters if the political press corps were more diverse.

That's the whole ballgame. The Trump message is that America is for white people, and that nonwhites are to be feared or pitied or both.

@jbouie you think press is shying away from it? I thought press has been pretty hard on his bigotry, albeit while giving him free publicity -
@WEKetchum@jbouie that's what it is. The man is called racist and attacked after every talk he gives. It's the publicity that helps him -
@ItspelledMiller@jbouie I realized he wasn't talking about the coverage of Trump, but of Trump's supporters. *That* has been soft

@jbouie YUP THAT'S THE PLAN -
@jbouie calling someone racist is apparently worse than actual racism -
@jbouie not that I'm defending either of them but Jeb rly lost the nom w that 911 comment in the debate more than the Donald won it -
@jbouie MSM pearl-clutchers need something 2 deflect from Trump/Putin Trump/Bondi Trump/lies Trump/racists Trump/Lock-her-up etc -
@jbouie Calling racists racist is mean and we're not supposed to do it. -
@jbouie well CNN is gonna try -
@jbouie I was going to say, 50% seems a bit charitable. -
@jbouie she included sexists too. -
@jbouie@TxsleuthUSA Question is, will Hillary clarify her statement first or will Trump mouth off to dig himself deeper first?
