Wow a company that doesn't make any money is having financial problems? Twitter is a mess.

It would be funny if Trump bought Twitter. Not sure if he could legally do it while on the campaign trail though.

Why not? Clinton seems to have bought everything else.

[–]insincere_fondueUSA 57ポイント58ポイント  (2子コメント)

And everything bought her.

It's a mutual relationship of Quid pro quo. They fund her dream of being the POTUS and she sells out the known free world to vagabonds and wolves. Innocuous really. (It's not.)

[–]Tragically_American 6ポイント7ポイント  (0子コメント)

That's right! And people act like they're the American People and expect to be heard or something when all these two want to do is be left alone and destroy the free world.

How much would it be per member of the Donald to buy 51% of Twitter and donate it to brietbart?

Well shoot.... 31,000 per member. Sorry Milo. I don't have that chunk of. Change.

How much for all of 4chan to buy it though?

Are we talking of the notorious hacker or the forum?

It already feels like monopoly...how many hotels she got...

Trump can't buy Twitter, Twitter already bought Clinton after the Saudies bought Twitter.

No need, he is already the king of twitter

4th debate only on twitter? :)

I think Milo buying Twitter would be the ultimate slap in the face...could you just imagine how great Twitter would be if he did.

Is he actually that wealthy?

Not even close

How wealthy is he

His current net worth is about $750,000. I assume acquiring Twitter would run you hundreds of millions

twitter is actually worth ~$10 billion

That would be hilarious.

Have the Trump Foundation buy it and all MAGA members could assemble and use it against Facebook.

Damn, I just peed my pants thinking about it.

Trump doesnt associate with losers.

He probably couldn't individually but his company could(if he isn't still acting ceo) i presume. Surely DOJ would try to block it. Then people would say they wouldn't use, owner is "racist, bigot..blah blah "

The current owner is a sexist racist already.

In twitters defense everyones stock is going down. 93% of trading volume today was selling. It didn't crash today, it was just a bad day. The stock market is badly inflated by the government buying up things and pumping money in every time stuff looks bleak, and trumps right saying it's a false indicator, but historically when the market tanks before an election it's a sign that the party not in office will win.

Monday might be interesting

Sites like twitter are like the dot com bubble..investors pumped billions into these sites and years later they STILL aren't turning a profit. If twitter was going to turn a profit it would've done so by now. They're far from the only site like that.

Yes the stock market is down in general, but Twitters problems are not just a falling stock price. It's an overvalued company, like you said. It hasn't managed to turn a profit. It will never turn a profit. I don't know why people invest in it, maybe they think they'll get out before the burst? That can be difficult, since bubbles tend to burst rather quickly.

The bubble is bursting- we're going to be looking at another dotcom crisis, but it's going to be worse. This time it's going to be advertising and it'll hit Madison Avenue hard. Personally, I welcome their demise

I never understood companies like this going public, yeah "muh ad revenue" bro.. How the fuck are you going to scale Twitter? Add more characters per tweet? It's just ridiculous the only option they would have is buying more corporations to increase to a reliable portfolio but that's not happening as far as I know? Not surprised that it's tanking and with Gab and other options coming up, Twitter is dying.

Yo but you can catch next weeks Thursday Night Football game on twitter stream! Live streaming will save them /s

This is not correct, right?

No they are really doing that. I hope it crashes the site lol

It's actually a thing. Was even plugged in the TNF commercial last night in the Jets/Bills preview

Not to rain on the parade, but it's a really common way for early investors to cash out regardless of future potential. I never thought Facebook would make any money but here they are rakeing it in.

Because they need to do something to raise money. And going public gets them a lot of funding relatively quick with no due date on repayment. And investors understand that tech like this and Amazon take a while to turn a profit. So take their money, develop the platform, build user base, ????, profit. If you know all this already then never mind.

10 years

It has been 10 years.

Twitter is never going to turn the profit the investors hoped for.

They already had their large userbase, now people are just sick of it. Once a platform starts censoring content to make it appear nicer and hide dissent people start leaving.

The platform has been around for awhile. The userbase was in the tens of millions.

Twitters main value was disseminating information quickly to many people. When you start covering up things that go against your agenda you destroy the main thing that gave your platform value in the first place.

I agree. I feel like investing in tech isnt safe. There's only so much room in the market for the Facebooks and Googles

Good. Can we please pop this tech bubble now? I live in west LA, surrounded by so many techie trust fund kids wearing plastic unicorn heads as they praise their beloved 'Silicon Beach'. Over $4B dollars have been injected into tech startups here and these companies don't really do anything (except for things their mom's used to do). These C-level child executives prep for burning man, spend money on material things/experiences they claim make them more affluent, and collect $250K-$1M rounds of funding from SF VC's every quarter without turning a profit.

This shit is not sustainable, nor does it help our economy.

It'll pop soon. It's been inflated by investors desperate for even a remote possibility of high returns. Once these companies prove that they're tapped out the money will flee faster than a donut with legs dropped in Homer Simpson's lap.

It's been inflated by investors desperate for even a remote possibility of high returns.

This. It's the young tricking the old IMO.

Idk how you can still live in SO CA. It's a liberal cesspool.

Can confirm. Live in socal and it sucks

agreed. im trying to get the funds together to buy an AK before this fucking gun ban goes through.

If you cant get funds to buy the entire gun, buy the lower and lower parts kit/bullet button. Should only be around $100. As long as you own the SN on the lower and a bullet button before the ban you can piece it together as you get money.

thank you. i know, and ive been thinking about that but unfortunately its alot harder to build an AK from parts as it is an AR. and i dont know if i feel like just scraping now for the cash or having the headache in the future of assembling it

I wouldn't say so Cal sucks, more like the people suck. I've lived here for a while and I couldn't imagine myself living anywhere else. I have a few close friends that aren't mindless liberals, and I just ignore the general populace and take in everything LA/OC has to offer.

I'm from Chicago, so at least this liberal cesspool has warm weather. Plus I can continue to grow my business in a cash rich environment, unlike Chicago. Fair question though.

Same here. I live in the liberal cesspool of San Francisco. But I like the moderate temperature here and I make bank. Just have to stay in the closet about my politics.

I wore my MAGA hat back in February. Got a lot of stares, but no one said anything to me, positive or negative. I may try doing that again.

But couple weeks ago, a girl at work who found out I'm a trump supporter awhile ago put me on blast to group of other co-workers who walked into the break room. Got a lot of gasps, head shakes, and relentless grilling about how dare I, as an Asian American woman, support Trump. I felt outnumbered, cornered. A custodian who also happened to be a black man was walking by, and the same slimy co-worker called out to him saying, "hey [black man], HillaryScissorsHuma is a Trump supporter!" And the custodian walked up and yelled "FUCK TRUMP" at me, then walked away. And then other people in the group starred repeating "yeah, fuck Trump!" at me and laughing. It almost felt like they were schoolyard bullies. It was very very awkward.

Keep your head held high and be proud!!! Next time this happens, point to a garbage can and tell everyone that you can call that thing a toaster as much as you want, but it doesn't change the fact that it's a garbage can. So too you can continue to slander me through your bigotry and vitriol, but it doesn't change the fact that Trump is right and I support him.

Ad hominem attacks without merit are the lowest of logical fallacies. They're reserved for emotionally unintelligent humans (aka children) that require co-dependency and affirmation to feel like they belong to something because, after all, they'll never create anything for themselves. The girl at work has so little going for her that she excitedly stoops to this level to gain favor with her playground friends. You wouldn't fume over a 5 year old calling you a doo-doo head, so don't give them the satisfaction here either.

Completely unprofessional and uncalled for.

Just like the people they are voting for.

Scum tends to appeal to scum.

Go to HR, they shouldn't be bullying and using foul language at you because of your creed. Maybe play the minority card too (would be hilarious turnabout )

At my work I overheard 2 Vietnamese and 1 Colombian talking about supporting trump. I walked over and whispered "MAGA". Now we have a secret club for trump supporters. its wierd that in this day and age you are vilified for supporting who you believe will be best for this country. This is why it is so important that we win. Hillary supporters are the new brown shirts.

HR won't do shit, what are you gonna say? That you got bullied for liking Trump?

lol

Nice lawsuit material for a hostile work environment

What kind of person says "fuck" in the workplace? Have we no standards?

Besides LA, So Cal is a very nice place to live. Weather, opportunity, entertainment, we've got some of the best. I think it outweighs the politics that don't really make an impact on my quality of life.

I would still rather live there than here in DC. We got cucks, shitty weather, multiculturalism, and foreigners who don't speak a lick of English all rolled into one.

I'm worried about what will happen when it pops. It'd be like a giant zit.

They never learn. They'll all flee to a republican state like Texas because the financial situation is much better and then they'll retardedly vote for the same stupid policies that ruined the state they ran away from thereby ruining their new state. They never learn.

That's why Austin is shit now. Fuckin UT was having a "cocks not glocks" thing to protest campus carry. Holding up giant dildos. They're children.

No one looks at that and thinks

"Well gosh I was a supporter of university students being able to express their second amendment rights, but now that a blue hair waved a 13in dildo in my face wtf I hate guns now"

You're right but I hope it can be saved.

Back when it was just about going out in the desert and being yourself.

Now it's all corporate just like any other large festival. Prepackaged crap designed to push a message or sell you something.

Not all the way there yet, but it's getting much more noticeable.

I live in Austin, so I can relate.

It's fascinating; they truly believe in their world and the liberal (no)thought policy that causes the dweeb from FB to give $20M to Hillary today. It does explain their fixation with this homogenized global lala-land though...it's the crusade to save humanity and they can play along too...I'm with her!!!

Give me a break, when will they grow up? A better question is, what will they do when it all comes crashing down? We might bear witness to the first generation of humans that never leave their parents homes.

Twitter is 10 years old. If it was going to turn a profit it would've done so by now. Time for all these unprofitable sites to get smacked in the face by the long dick of capitalistic economics.

You can't keep throwing money at stuff that doesn't actually do anything or profit you.

It helps the economy by putting my money from very rich pockets into young people who like to spend lavishly.

Economies are not zero sum.

Start a charge.org petition for Trump to buy Twitter.

And have Milo admin it.

That's basically the equivalent of Milo physically cockslapping Twitter

I like it.

Milo Happened

CNBC interview yesterday. Ive never heard Milo Yiannopoulos speak before this, but now I can see why we want him as Press Secretary.

Oh wow, I missed that.

Yeah, he's pretty good to listen to. I saw his speech at Bucknell University a while back. It was pretty good, except that Bucknell kicked him out as soon as the speech was over. Still, Fabulous/10, would attend again.

I was also at a party he hosted in DC last year. Some SJW shit-heels called in a bomb threat to it.

Yeah, a bomb threat to a night club.

Wow for once a liberal news outlet didn't gang up on their conservative guest. They actually let him talk and make his points as opposed to interrupting him every 2 seconds.

I guess they just need someone fabulous.

How could they feel threatened by a gay guy? He dazzled them with his hand gestures and then blew away their concerns with his words before they knew what happened.

They're just confused; gay people are usually on their side so they didn't know what to do without looking homophobic.

We need public female Trump supporters.

They can't mansplain to them because of fear of appearing sexist.

I had a twitter account for 10 years and only recently started logging in for ONE reason: Following Trump. His tweets are awesome. So off the cuff. Hillary's tweets are carefully crafted by staff. Sad.

We have the best tweets don't we?

Guys. The entire market is down 1%...

I was going to say that we had 3+ months of straight growth. A correction was going to happen sooner or later. Hell- I lost 4% this week after gaining 16% since last February.

To be honest, it still in slightly better shape then before.

Twitter is a mess!

I posted about it here https://www.reddit.com/r/The_Donald/comments/51xf8t/twitter_shares_drop_as_pressure_for_growth_mounts/.

It's funny they brought back cuckman jack to boost growth, all he done was promote censorship and terrorists. It's almost like pandering to a small section of racists isn't going to help your company.

Isn't Twitter mostly owned by a Saudi prince now?

Deleted my account last week

To be fair, the entire market is getting hit because the government is considering raising interest rates.

Twitter still sucks and is worthless stock to own.

You mean it went down a little more than 1 point, or about 6% of stock price? That's a collapse now? It would be more effective to point out that in January of 2014, it's stock price was $69. Now it's around $18.

I'm a pro trader - the market is down overall today, I wouldn't think too much into this - also fuck Twitter.

That happened yesterday tho... 'pro trader'. Also if you were a pro, you'd know that this happens to twitter every quarter when they release financials and then they scoot back up over the course of the next 3 months.

Exactly - and I am a professional equities trader. Saying the ticker is down today doesn't mean shit. Look at the $SPY. Twitter is something I never trade, it's a dogshit company overrun with HFT. Thank you for correcting the record.

It's been a god damn wild ride, hasn't it boys?

Cernovich is propping it up it terms of creating hashtags and shit.

I often look at these popular tech ideas and wonder the same thing.

"How do you make sustainable money from this?"

I understand meta data about users can fetch a huge price. Google makes a ton off this selling data to companies, and own ad placements. Despite that Google is always trying to be innovative and explore new markets. I fully understand their growth and value.

But is twitter data even worth while? People often follow others as a joke. It does not mean their consumer preferences align with whom they follow. People follow others and hide their posts simply to boost their followers count. Twitter manipulates trends so that is unreliable.

In order for these companies to try and continue growth eventually they sell out their original concepts one at a time until their product is unrecognizable from what originally made it popular.

Facebook has so much censorship and advertising people are leaving in droves.

Twitter is taking a beating for manipulating hashtags and other things.

The SJW massaging of their users has turned a lot of people off.

A lot of these ideas are great. They are lots of fun and can provide great services to society. But from an investment point of view I am shocked so much money is dumped into them.

I saw some dude bot like 60 fake accounts with the same tweet just to troll someone. Retweet counts do not have a monetary value.

Past 12 months Twitter down 33% compared to S&P up 9%. Not good. Earlier this year it was reported they have lost $2 billion since 2011. They are literally living on stock money and have no profit to reinvest in the company.

I'll bet someone like Carlos Slim will come in and buy them at a discount like he did the NYT. Control the airwaves, media and internet. Then you control the masses.

Not saying I like cucked Twitter, but I do have to say that the stock value will skyrocket if they are bought out by someone, especially someone like Google. Probably 15-25% increase if they are bought so now would be a good time to buy actually.

The movement in the last 5 days is because of the correlation with the market. That's what OP is quoting. The business is spending double their (NI) losses on R&D a year. The stock is losing money but is still solvent by a decent amount. Not a dead or crashing company yet. but it's still a relatively new company.

The CEO hasn't checked out or the board and shareholders would have reacted and replaced him. This selloff was related to market factors. Posting NI at earnings and saying S T I L L N E G A T I V E is a legit response. But op info isn't applicable or reasonable to the movement of a company as a whole. Almost all tech IPOs move to around this stage anyway.

Maga tho fam tbh bbq
