You can not argue with consensus science. In fact, you can lose your job, be chased out of University, and some even advocate arresting people for arguing with professional consensus. 7 out of 10 Doctors agree Hillary is disqualified.

That's more than the 6 out of 10 dentists that recommend Colgate!

Toms toothpaste is 10/10

11/10 with rice. Thank you for your suggestion.

Side note: In those ads all the dentists agreed. Since no dentist will say i dont recommend toothpaste. The ad states 4/5 just to add some flair.

[–]allegorically_hitlerCA 11ポイント12ポイント  (0子コメント)

Yep, there is a consensus now, if you disagree at this point you should go to jail. Disagreeing is akin to hatespeech and racism

sort like...some kind of warming...on a global scale...

Hillary is not fit at all

That's not actually how science works. Settled science is rarely actually settled and an unwillingness to challenge assumptions leads to stagnation.

I'm not saying that her health isn't awful, and that she should drop out of the race.

I am saying that only non-scientists would say that you Can Not argue with consensus science.

Not disagreeing with you, but consensus science should be thoroughly examined from the other side as well. Otherwise you get the man made climate change scientific consensus stance where any skepticism is met with fierce attacks.

I'd almost feel bad for her... But that's what happens when you dedicate your life to Lucifer. She's literally rotting from the inside out. Evil, nasty woman!

[–]Mission_Impawzible 7ポイント8ポイント  (1子コメント)

Yup, this evil witch deserves every bit of the inevitable shitstorm headed her way. On earth and in hell.

Using their own logic against them, love it! If there is global warming because there is a consensus of scientists then surely she is too sick to be president by the same rules. Based fucking Rush.

I grew up in a time when the bus drivers would have rush playing on their radio during field trips and no one complained. It planted the seeds which eventually grew into this Hatefact Tree in my mind.

Are you saying you're a climate change denier? I honestly don't know where the Trump camp stands on it, and I'm just here to learn.

Most of us would say we don't deny climate change is happening.

Only that most studies indicate even if every citizen in the United States were to stop living and producing emissions, it still would not be near enough to make any large impact. China and other industrializing nations produce a huge - enormous proportion of wastes. That is where the change needs to happen.

Not only that, but the Left seems to be intent on linking every national disaster (hurricanes, snow storms, earthquakes) to "climate change" as if you paying more taxes will prevent the next hurricane from occurring.

How will reforms happen in these industrializing nations if the United States doesn't lead from the front on this issue?

Why is he getting down voted? He seems sincere

The right looks at climate change as a logical problem where you need real world solutions that make an actual difference and do not affect our economy drastically.

The left looks at it from a Michael Jackson heal the world, hippie point of view. Dont you want to save the planet and mother nature and all that crap with no understanding of what it would mean in practice.

The more deranged the left become, the more skeptical the right becomes almost on reflex at this point.

I certainly don't speak for anyone else here. But it's my view that the same people that have now been proven to be colluding with the media and guilty of corruption on every level are also guilty of doing it with climate change data (google Climate Research Unit of The University of East Anglia) for the same reasons: to advance a globalist agenda.

To say that global warming is "settled science" is far from the truth. There are tons of dissenting opinions which obviously get bar-belled/exiled by the left.

Personally I believe we're on a 5 billion year old planet and we have only 30 years of moderately accurate models. There are also records of it being both a lot hotter and a lot colder in the past. Either way I think the joke here is the consensus of science thing which is obviously not how science works. We don't vote for what we want the science to be because of grants and agenda, we run test, results and draw conclusions.

Two great books on this subject are "Apocalypse Not" by the Cato Institute and "Climate Change: The Facts" by the institute of public affairs.

"Climate change denier" is a pretty disingenuous term in how it is often used. Not saying you are, but consider:

When people are skeptical of climate change, they're usually skeptical about mankind's influence on climate change. To be specific, anthroprogenic climate change.

Dishonest media and pundits usually conflate "Climate change" (ie natural climate change) with AGW (Manmade) and proclaim they're one and the same.
This is an outright falsehood. The climate has been changing well since before we've been here and will continue to do so well after we've gone, one way or another.

Another manipulation is how it's often posed as a binary decision: Either you think mankind causes all climate change, or has nothing to do with it. Realistically we have an affect, but not necessarily a very drastic one. And that's the question "How much do we affect the climate. How do we do it. What can we do to reduce that affect" rather than "Do we or don't we" which is how it is posed in order to ridicule anyone that disagrees with them.

Lastly, there is no "consensus". Nor would it matter if there was. In simplest terms, science isn't about "being right" and certainly not about being popular. It's about pushing the boundaries on what we know. To do that, there can be no sacred cows. Nothing "settled".

For instance, Cholesterol was considered to be a harmful nutrient for decades now until only just recently studies were conducted that cleared up a previous Correlation but not causation between it, and health problems.

Despite the various studies, peer review and general "consensus" on the issue, it was simply wrong. People hadn't been asking the right questions or had simply come to the conclusion and were looking for facts to support it rather than finding facts and creating a conclusion that meets them.

And now it's officially being taken off the harmful nutrients list, last I heard.

All said and done, many people agree that we have an affect on the environment and are concerned, but certainly not everyone. Not everyone agrees on how much we affect and through which methods we do so significantly.

Worse, there are a number of people who seek specifically to twist the issue to their own agenda and push non-solutions that will benefit them while they can continue pushing fear on the subject to ensure compliance with their self-benefiting non-solutions.

Trump hasn't made a serious statement on it yet.

He's dismissed it for now.

Had a convo with my doctor yesterday when I was getting my annual bloodwork done. On the conversation of Hillary he bluntly stated "I wouldn't bank on her staying alive to run a second term if she won."

Just think...we are just two months away from getting Hillary the healthcare she needs. Vote Trump to save her life, to give her the vacation she deserves, some rest and rehabilitation at the worlds finest medical facilities. Its the right thing to do.

With new Trumpcare, she can even choose to keep Doc Choc if she wants.

There's no such thing as a consensus in science, but there is such thing as an undeniable observable fact. Which is Hillary Clinton has no business running this country.

How big is Rush Limbaugh's reach? Is this essentially "going into the mainstream"?

I know Breitbart and Drudge have moved into the mainstream lately, but I'd like to know where Rush stands.

I ask, because this is huge if he holds sway.

Rush Limbaugh is the number 1 radio talk host, and has been since at least 1991. He has over 13 million weekly listeners. The only other host to attain 13 million weekly viewers is Michael Savage, and he is most certainly on the Trump Train.

Limbaugh owns the radio dial when it comes to talk

IT'S OFFICIAL! DONALD J. TRUMP IS THE REPUBLICAN PARTY'S NOMINEE FOR PRESIDENT! THE TRUMP TRAIN JUST GOT 100,000 MPH FASTER!

Rush is the biggest radio host to ever exist.

He is single handedly attributed to saving AM radio.

I would go as far to say he is bigger than what you think is considered mainstream media like Fox, CNN, CBS etc. If anything he's mainstream media.

Myself, I believe climate change is likely real and should be addressed. However what I do know is:

  • The corporate whore owned by the Saudi petroleum dictatorship will never do anything to improve it.

  • It can't be solved by sacrificing our living standards or allowing some country to shirk their responsibility and screw America yet again because of their "per-capita" emissions and vast population numbers.

  • Anybody today who believes in climate change and thinks something should be done about it, is perfectly free to take action for themselves. If 50% of Americans did that, it's a huge number of people and would significantly reduce emissions. I've noticed they haven't quite decided it's important enough yet for them to stop using cars, airplanes, electricity, internet, buying iphones, eating meat, etc. Any minute now, I expect...

  • Trump can be trusted to do what is best for the American people, and if that turns out to be some course of action on emissions, then it will be backed up with international deals that get the best outcome for America and hold others to account as well.

I respect your logic and point of view, however I recently read The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels and now find myself a bit more skeptical about climate change. Not fully convinced one way or the other, but you might be interested in it.
