AN activisit who claimed police were going to kill him was found dead just
days later.
Firefighters called to John Lang’s Fresno home, earlier this week, found he
had been stabbed and his house set alight.
But in a shocking twist the anti-corruption whistleblower seems to have
predicted his own death – and named his potential murderers – in the days
before he died.
On January 14, he posted a chilling warning on his Facebook page.
He wrote: “Just wanted to give you guys the heads up.
“If anything happens to me in the next day or two it will be the result of
Fresno PD, my neighbour and employee at my job Payless Brakes and Tires.”
The following day he sent a message to local TV reporter Corin Hogarth, asking
him to investigate.
He wrote: “Corin, you want some news? Corrupt Fresno cops are going to try and
kiss me this weekend, possibly tonight. This is no joke.”
On January 16, John posted a video of a van parked outside his home, which
appeared to belong to a carpet cleaning company, and a man hanging around
outside.

He wrote: “If I turn up missing or dead tomorrow remember this Van.
“I think I seen a couple of guys sneak out the side door and into the building
when it was parked in the carport this afternoon.
“I’ve been causing the City of Fresno a lot of problems recently which I now
regret.”
On Wednesday, neighbours called firefighters to John’s house in the middle of
the afternoon, after seeing smoke.
According to ABC30, it took a while to get in because the gate was very secure
but, when they did, they found Lang had been stabbed.
Lt. Joe Gomez , of the Fresno Police Department said it was “Unknown if the
stab wounds caused the death or the smoke inhalation, it’s too early to
tell.”
His neighbours were shocked by the killing, in broad daylight.
Tamara Olivarria said, “He just got those lights fixed and the gate is locked
so I’m not sure how anyone would have got in even, but it’s kind of scary.”
Another neighbour, Theresa Fuentes said that “If it’s a random thing, that
makes it much scarier because the neighbourhood is getting better, we
thought.”
But was John Lang’s death a random thing … or did he predict it himself?
