Before Ghazi, there were so many social justice issues I was unaware of. Mocking Gamergate was the obvious original purpose of this site, but it became so much more than that after a while and I'm certain I'm not the only one that gained a new understanding of diversity, of issues that don't just affect ourselves but those around us, of intersectionality.

The anchor's pulled up, now. There's enough mods on the sub I was concerned about that I can move on and away, and I'm glad for that. Reddit's become a pretty ugly place, but this sub is one of the good ones.

For what it's worth, I just wanted to say thank you, Ghazi, for everything. Keep up the good work.

I'm kinda feeling a possible pull away from Reddit as well in the near future. I only ever really post here anymore because I've learned a lot here and regularly have actually decent discussions. But even coming here lately has been kinda weighing on me. I think I'm about done with Reddit. 'Sbeen good having ya around, comrade.

One of the mods on /r/askhistorians recently lamented the state of the site and how its ill, yet well deserved reputation was a weight around the neck of their subreddit.

Reddit truly has become the gutter of the internet.

Shit, man, sorry to hear you're leaving. I know this whole site's kinda rough sometimes; I mean, there's only one subreddit other than this one I myself visit, so I can't really say I blame you for leaving. I know we didn't always see eye-to-eye on things, but like I said before, we all get heated sometimes, it's hard not to given the subject matter. Just know that we'll all miss you, I think. :)
