yeah, so i just witnessed Gary Johnson destroy his political career on Morning Joe.

The panel genuinely couldn't believe his response.
The worst part is he didn't even have a half-decent follow-up like "I'm familiar with the refugee crisis in Syria, just not the name of the specific region where it is taking place" or something. Anything.

Aleppo is the largest city in Syria. It's like talking about Iraq and not knowing what Baghdad is.

The only city in Syria I have ever heard of is Damascus. Most Americans would not know a non-capital city in a foreign country.

Do you need access to security briefings to know the major cities in Syria? Aleppo isn't some secret place, it's a major scene for part of the civil war in Syria. All of this info is publicly available for anybody who wants to take the time to read about it.

I mean, this city has been in the news extensively for a few years. If Johnson had picked up a newspaper and read it any time recently he'd know what it was.
I know probably the average American off the street might not be as informed, but the average guy off the street isn't trying to be president.
Johnson disqualified himself.
