War of Eden is a YA Sci-fi book saga. In this first novel, The Garden, Jane starts a war to find out what it means to be human
About this project
Join J4N3-0001 (Jane) in an epic quest to seek answers about what it means to be human in a post-apocalyptic dystopian future, full or new technology, political corruption, possible extinction, imminent war, and life as a young girl on the brink of academy graduation desperate for direction.
I'm Jon Lang, storyteller, filmmaker, and author. I've spent my life traveling the world exploring, adventuring, skiing, filming, photographing, and meeting all sorts of new people, experiencing new cultures, and telling my stories.
The War of Eden has been a project of mine for three years now, and I'm very close to being ready to publish its first novel, The Garden. Just one more month of writing and editing, and it's ready. After The Garden is released this winter, I'll immediately begin working on the second novel which I've already started, The Purge.
Below you'll find the contributing artists that will be commissioned for original War of Eden specific artwork and some of the inspirational artists that I've followed as I have been creating this story.

Leon has a gift for creating compelling landscapes that feel authentic due to his gifts for creating 3D spaces. Each image puts you inside the worlds he has created and makes you feel you are a part of a very specific moment. Leon has a very unique style that speaks to the diverse happenings of the War of Eden. There is a lot of fantasy mixed with science in this story, and that is obvious in all of Leon's past work. Once completed, this kickstarter campaign will allow Leon and I to enter into the creation phase for some War of Eden: The Garden specific content that will live on forever. Here are some examples of his past works:
"Ecological City" is very representative of New Garden, the city J4N3 lives in and is desperate to get out of. It's beautiful, sustainable, peaceful, and technologically advanced. The real question is, why does J4N3 want to leave so badly?...
"The Invasion" is spot on with the raw power and magnitude of the Congressional Forces, the reigning military regime of J4N3's era. They're advanced, intelligent, and do not tolerate opposition.
In this video Tyler Edlin interviews Leon Tukker and they dive into the deep process of creating 3D space and more to create vast landscapes. Check out Brush Sauce Theatre for more bts coverage with world renowned artists!

Daniele has an uncanny ability to bring life to robotics. As you can see below, his work speaks for itself.
Inspirational Artists
These artists have inspired a lot of my work. As I write, I often have an idea in my head of what I want, then I jump online and do some searching and usually find these amazing artists have already created something similar. Seeing is believing, and these artists have granted me permission to share their work on this campaign to show the inspiration they gave me. They are all very tied up working on feature films like Transformers, commercial works for companies like BMW, and very large comic book productions.

Risks and challenges
There are always risks when writing a novel or working on a large scale media project. Current obstacles include holiday shipping, longer editing revisions, and holidays in general. Many of you might not know me yet, but you'll learn quickly that when something is important to me, nothing stands in my way, not even holidays or time off. When I'm in the zone, I write for ten hours a day and in novel terms, that's about 8,000-10,000 words, when deadlines are getting closer, I don't sleep. That's what it took to get through college twice and live in my ski bags globally for five years writing and filming for some of the biggest companies in the world. My work is my life, and I live for it.
I've schedule everything to ship first week of December so there's a buffer for unforeseen issues. One way or another, you'll be getting your book in time for the winter holidays.
When I was a Ski Events Coordinator on an active volcano in New Zealand, my main priority was Chaos Management. Some even called me Captain Chaos because I knew how to keep a cool head when I had 500 high school skiers on three separate race courses in blizzard conditions and the risk of having multiple casualties on a very dangerous ski resort full of blind cliffs and no visibility during inclement weather didn't phase me one slight bit. I had my crew, I had my protocols, and I had my plan.
Nothing will stop me from publishing this book. On that note, I don't half ass anything. I pour everything in, or nothing at all, so this will be a damn good read.
