(English Man Utd fans) Do you support the English football team? (self.reddevils)

I am surprised to hear that a number of English people don't like the national team. I am Irish and live in Ireland but I have an English friend that despises the team and even wanted Iceland to win the game in the Euros and despises the international.

As an Irish fan I don't mind the break as I can watch the Irish team and enjoy even though they are not that good, but I would watch the English team as well for an interest of all the players from Man Utd and Premier League.

I don't understand why they don't even watch or support their own national team, I understand the media circus, stupid expectations and the player criticism but its their country.

After 2004 I really lost interest in international football. I'll watch the major tournament games and some friendlies but not religiously like club football.

To be honest, I'm a little apathetic when it comes to our national team. I'll never root for us to lose, I'm happy if we win but I'll be lying if I say that I'm just as passionate about the national team now as I was when I was younger. I do try and make time to watch us play but I'm just not as enthusiastic about it as I used to be.

Not really. Club before country and all that.

That said i will still sometimes watch them when theyre on, however not religiously like United, and im not really bothered if we lose as its almost expected.

I hate international break because I just find it boring. I only like international games when it means something but still England can't play for shit when it actually means something. Everyone bigs up the team when it's coming up to the tournaments but we always play just as bad as every other World Cup or Euros.
