Jose Mourinho watched repeat of Big Bang Theory instead of Marcus Rashford’s U-21 hat-trick
Jose Mourinho prefers watching American comedy re-runs than tuning in to see Marcus Rashford play, the United boss has admitted.
The Portuguese says he skipped England’s Under-21 clash with Norway on Tuesday night in favour of settling down to watch an old episode of The Big Bang Theory on E4.
Mourinho said: “Why do I want to watch that bunch of losers?”
“I spent years at Chelsea trying not to run into Nathaniel Chalobah and Ruben Loftus-Cheek in the corridors, I hardly want to spend my hard-earned leisure time watching them misplace passes on TV.”
“Especially when I can tune into one of Sheldon’s hilarious escapades on Big Bang. Man, I love that guy.”

Rashford scored a hat-trick in the 6-1 victory and spoke after the game of giving his club manager a ‘selection headache’ ahead of the Manchester derby this weekend.
But Mourinho was quick to dismiss the suggestion.
“I take an aspirin a day so I never have headaches. Especially over selections. For me it’s not difficult because, as Rashford isn’t foreign or really expensive, I don’t notice him at all.”
Rashford’s team-mates at Old Trafford have privately revealed their surprise at Rashford’s struggle to get the attention of his new boss.
Ashley Young said: “Marcus pulls out all the stops to try and get the boss to notice him. The other day he washed his entire car and even finished it off with one of those little chamois leather cloths to make it extra shiny.
“But the boss presumed Zlatan had done it and immediately inserted a car-wash bonus into his contract and gave him the rest of the week off.”
