It is just rotting your mind and trying to sell you shit that won't make you happy. I haven't had a TV in 5ish years.

Yes I still go to the bar to watch football. I watch movies on amazon. There are no ads.

Internet at least gives choice. TV is total zombification. A huge timewaster. Heck even browsing/skimming youtube videos gives more input.

I use an app called Kodi. You can stream anything you want to see for free. You can get a mini box and remote with it installed from Amazon too. Or you could just cast it to the tv from a phone like I do.
