Trump Tweets Out Nonexistent Poll Showing Him Up In Ohio
Donald Trump bragged Monday about a FiveThirtyEight poll showing him up by three in the state of Ohio.

The only problem is that, as FiveThirtyEight editor-in-chief Nate Silver pointed out on Twitter, that poll didn’t actually exist.
Trump campaign is apparently citing a @FiveThirtyEight poll showing him ahead in Ohio. There isn’t one—we don’t do our own horse race polls.

Our polling average in Ohio—based on other people’s polls!—is Clinton 41.8, Trump 39.8. Close but Clinton up a hair. https://t.co/1Zp1BGrswV

Trump likely was trying to refer to a Reuters/Ipsos poll from three days ago, which indeed found him up by three in Ohio. But half an hour after FiveThirtyEight pointed out his error, Trump made it again for another state.
