Of course Mourinho is starting Rooney because he thinks it's best for the team. Until Mourinho sees that Rooney is holding the team back too far and we start dropping points because of it I have no doubt that he'll be dropped.

I think managers are scared to drop Rooney because he has so many friends in the English game. No one wants to be the man who becomes unpopular in the "boys club" of English football.

I don't need a thread to bash Rooney, I just got the ball rolling mate. Rooney has been one of my favourite United players ever, but it's time for him to play less. He should not be starting every single damn match and sooking about it if he gets dropped.
