Squad rotation for September (self.reddevils)

We have two games each week in the month of September, and this will pretty much set the tone for how the rotation works for the rest of the season.

The first match after the international break, the Manchester Derby, would obviously see our 'strongest' XI as Mourinho sees it. I would love to see a midfield three with Herrera/Carrick/Schneiderlin, and another possible change is Smalling coming in at CB. Possible starting XI: De Gea; Valencia, Bailly, Blind, Shaw; Pogba, Fellaini; Mata, Rooney, Martial; Ibrahimovic

The away game against Feyenoord will probably see the '1B' team - some rotation, but the team should be equally experienced and not far off in terms of quality. Expect one of the CBs to get changed, and possibly an experiment with a midfield three. Possible starting XI: De Gea; Darmian, Smalling, Bailly, Shaw; Pogba, Carrick, Herrera; Mkhitaryan, Martial; Rashford (Lingard and Schneiderlin could come in depending on form/injuries/match-ups)

The game against Northampton will see the undisputed 'second' team., with one or two first XI players thrown in. Unfortunately, this might be the only times we get to see Schweini in action. Possible starting XI: Romero; Fosu-Mensah, Tuanzebe, Bailly, Rojo; Schweinsteiger, Herrera, Schneiderlin; Lingard, Depay; Rashford

Mourinho says Zlatan will get time off, and Martial is looking kinda stale. I reckon we will have Memphis and Rashford playing against Feyenoord.

Memphis, Rashford and Mkhitaryan against Feyenoord.

Maybe Lingard as well and play Mkhi at 10.

That said Feyenoord aren't some minnows, probably shouldn't make wholesale changes. It's still very important to win.

Whatever is the squad rotation, I'm excited to watch 3 games in a week. Van Gaal's first season was so boring, not because of the performances but because we played so fewer games. It was ages before we played next game.

On squad rotation, I think in Europa we might see lots of changes for many reasons, to save players from fatigue/travelling and our bench players are good enough to play. Hopefully there is completely different team for cup games.

For game against Feyenoord would like to see

De Gea; Fosu Mensah Smalling Jones Darmian; Carrick Schneiderlin; Lingard Herrera Memphis; Rashford.

I'd start Rashford on the Right instead of Mata, I think he's earned it, if Mkhi's injured.

Why would you want Morgan, Carrick and Herrera in midfield vs City? What about Pogba?

I think OP meant, Fella and Pogba with one of those three.

He should of said "a midfield three of Pogba, Fellaini, and Herrera/Carrick/Morgan.

If he doesn't list Pogba or Fellaini, how am I meant to know he wants them in the team?

Well he said "Herrera/Carrick/Schneiderlin" the / usually implies 'or' not 'and'. So I read it clearly that he meant one of those and assumed Pogba and Felli to be the other one.

It wasn't difficult to decipher what he meant.
