Never mind the crazy rule, that only comes in to play if she's always gonna be around. You have to be able to walk away from crazy, that's the real rule. If she's crazy and you work with her, or you have a few mutual friends and you'll see each other a decent amount then maybe no. But if there's a clear and clean escape route, should it be needed, then go for it!

That is a good start I think - slow, gradual and controlled weight loss is way more likely to have long-lasted effects than extreme weight loss from fads, or so I've heard.

What changes did you make to your diet? I've been going to the gym 5 days a week for about three weeks now and keep meaning to change my diet a little too.

Lost 20kg of the course of 6-8 months last year from 100kg to 80kg. I did it only through diet, albeit a pretty harsh one. My only advice is to start loving water.

Do you go to a strict school? The college I went to was pretty liberal and a first offense was just a slap on the wrist. Don't smoke in your dorm room and you'll be fine.

The college I went to almost encouraged it. Everyone would smoke on the benches outside our dorm and the head of the dorm would regularly walk past and talk to us about our day, once she even joined in.

I've got four more days of this bloody MSc dissertation left. It's not even that long of a write up (8,000 words) but the amount of hours gone into doing it is maddening. It's even made me happy that there's an international break so I have no distractions this weekend. Not even sure if it's even good yet!

After it I'm heading back to my parents in Ireland for a while until I can find work here in the UK. Looking forward to being properly fed, but I hope the job hunt doesn't take too long. There's very little left for me back home.

It's been like 2 weeks now.. I've been planning on waking up early and going to the gym, but I'm yet to go back to my normal schedule after the whole pogba saga. Everyday I say 'tomorrow's the day' but it's really hard when you go to bed at like 3 or 4 am :(

I am a PhD student in France and will be going to Buenos Aires tomorrow for an academic conference. This will be my first time to the other side of the ocean, southmost I have ever been. I hope I won't get robbed or mugged - my anxiety doesn't help though.
