Buttery Wad #1: A massive wall of text as a user both links to and quotes word for word their own self post. The one that they just linked to. This incredibly long post, effectively double or triple in size thanks to linking to it's origin (twice), spawns numerous comments of varying levels of disagreement. It also leads to a small but enjoyable Noam Chomsky debate.

Don't worry folks, this turgid drama is still full to bursting. Two users sneak in a hot R. Kelly c-rate track reference, trying to answer the question immortal: are feminist professors stupidly trying to teach their students to parrot hate speech? Is something a generalization if it's 90% true? Does anybody cite claims?

As the thread progresses (a.k.a I sort by controversial and scroll downwards) edging closer towards the quivering heights of drama, one user breaks out the crazy. I literally have no idea what the significance of 1998 is or why someone thinks feminism on college campuses will lead to a civil war. Please help me.

/r/badhistory feels the screams of a million undergrads as two users fumble over the cause of World War 2. Was it caused by too much free speech or too little free speech?!??!?!

Note drama, but I have to include my favorite quote from the entire thread here.

Speaking of death, one user peaces out from /r/documentaries, spawning an additional 40 or so comments, including a return of Mr. Wall of Text himself. Two ironic statements emerge like tiny golden balls of gold from this comment chain:

My position is that most people are pretty reasonable and are happy to hear things that they disagree with

and

One of the nice things about reddit is that you literally can't drown people out. Everyone gets their turn and tantrums/shouting don't work.

Both posted in a comment section where people are getting buried by downvotes and people are getting angry at hearing dissenting opinions.

Also this entire post. This generates less drama, but is pretty much the entire thread.

I hope my post reaches the front page before literally nazi mods wake up and oppress me.
