FAQ
Can I use different controls? Yes! When the game starts, use the Input tab to set different keys. Use "Fire1" and "Fire2" to remap Z (jump) and X (ship). You can also use a controller.
I want to visit World 1-1 again! If you pass -resetPrefs as a command line argument to NoMariosSky.exe then you'll restart at World 1-1.
The game runs too slow! Try setting the Graphics Quality to Low in the launcher.
The game crashes on Linux! If you have an Nvidia GPU, make sure you are using the latest Nvidia binary drivers for Linux. They are much more reliable than the Mesa Nouveau drivers. Alternatively try running the game with the -force-opengl command-line parameter to force Unity to use its legacy back-end.

The game is too floaty, it is really difficult to jump onto a small platform or a goomba. And Mario will get stuck in the jump pose very often
I wonder if you make special algorithm to make mario jump infron of gomba instead of his head i think. This game is no mans sky level troll :P
funny and fun lol, Goombas with hair you can't go wrong.
I downloaded the Linux version. Running Mint 17.3 64 bit HP Envy
Linux Fermi 3.16.0-38-generic #52~14.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Fri May 8 09:43:57 UTC 2015 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
16GB RAM
Crashed the whole fucking system. Well done.
If you have an Nvidia GPU and you're not using the Nvidia binary Linux drivers, try switching to them. The Mesa Nouveau drivers (which is probably what you're on) can be unstable and out of date.
Too floaty.. literally.
Is there a save option? I'm close the game and open but game start from beginning (HP visited worlds)
(Sorry for may bad english)
Any plans for an Android port?
What an interesting little game! I tried really hard to find the princess but I am beginning to think that there is no princess lol. Either way I did a lets play of the game and my adventures with jacked Toad :D
I would really like to love this game, but i just simply can't. I like the idea of parodying NMS, with the climate, and the idea of exploring other planets. But the thing that is pissing me off, is the platforming. Imagine if every level of your favourite platforming game was an ice level. It's pretty much like that here. Even after releasing the move button, Mario still keeps going for a bit, which keeps leading to irritating deaths. I just keep dying. Sometimes i even respawn on enemies!
I'm still gonna play a bit tho, just to see how other planets look, etc.
I hope all four of you guys go somewhere major out of this.
Awesome job!
An infinite universe, with infinite Goombas. There's big ones. Short ones. One eyed ones... and *shudders* faceless ones.
This game is INCREDIBLE! Thanks so much for taking the time to make it! I think it's hilarious how we're all enjoying this more than No Man's Sky.
I delete everything... re-install it... still not able to re-start 1-1! And I have no clue to pass a comand line to -exe ... where can I delete the save?
dont you know how to add arguments to exe? just open cmd in the game directory, and type "NoMariosSky.exe -resetPrefs" and press enter
Thank you!!!! No, I dont know, Ill do it now! Thanks!
Interesting concept, and pretty good execution. My one complaint is the physics. It doesn't feel like i'm mario.
I need to re-do the intro but I have no clue how to pass some reset stuff to what exactly??? What???
I want to visit World 1-1 again! "If you pass -resetPrefs as a command line argument to NoMariosSky.exe then you'll restart at World 1-1."
what does this even mean?
NO MARIO'S SKY - all the fun of No Man's sky but 100% more Mario and 100% less money.
i found 2 issues
1. if i stand at a wall corner, then jump, i will stuck there
2. some mobs float in the air
PS: hope u can publish it at steam;)
edit:
3. another issue: if i fall to some (grey) stone, i crossed it. (the situation is XSSSX, X is brick, S is stone)
