Ok, so this sorta blew up while I was asleep!

To answer a few concerns:

This post is looking for moderators and helpers for Project Awesome, our community, and our teamspeak. If you don't like project awesome, that's OK. You are welcome to play on any other teamspeak or as part of any other community you like. We recognise that our community isn't for everyone, and would recommend places like #Anz and GW for anyone who doesn't want to play as part of PA. In contrast, we offer a community for gamers who're tired of all the salty bullshit that goes on, and if that is interesting to you, you will be welcomed.
What we're trying to do here is to address some of the community's concerns to improve the TS and what PA offers to /r/Wargame - we listened to people who play on the TS and they wanted the mentor scheme back. Expanding the role of our helpers to fill that gap is a step towards listening to what you want from us.
To the person who mentioned that our other subs are empty - yes, that's correct. We haven't had the people in the past to expand these parts of our community, most of them have a pretty active player base but we haven't had the moderators to build them into something the size of /r/wargame or /r/projectmilsim. We are recruiting for these communities too, so if you think you can help with that, we would like to hear from you.
As part of the moderator recruitment process, we want to bring on more active community members, to help guide /r/wargame and /r/projectstrategy into something that suits what the community wants. We accept that at the moment there are issues relating to how /r/wargame's PA player base are catered for, and we want to try and address that for the better.

TL;dr - we want to make this an opportunity for players as part of our community to have a say in how we do things, not as a chance for us to tell you how to play your games.

We deserve an alternative and these mods should give us a platform to create that. We don't need Bernie to continue the revolution and we certainly don't need a bunch of mods that we do not personally know or have any reason to trust to shut down conversation of alternatives. You should have done more with the quarter million wanting to keep talking. Yeah, other options exist but you ignored us and that's what we've been dealing with this entire election.I want you guys to be more than what you've shown yourself to be but you CANNOT expect us to trust you. You should earn it. The last few months lost a lot of trust from us.

Kind of ironic coming from /u/imWheat. Not sure when we became some pathetic vassal of PA, but just because we have community members that chose to use your TS server doesn't mean that you should have power over people who have been playing this game and been a part of it's community for longer than you've been on Reddit. This sub used to be a way more relaxed, fun community where you could meet people to play the game with; recently (say the past six months or so) this sub has been nothing but drama and it's become the laughing stock of most other WG communities. I for one have moved from being on the Reddit TS almost every night to almost never using it and instead have focused my time on communities like #ANZ and SteelBalalaika.NA. I think I speak for most of this sub's members when I say that the PA experiment was a mistake and that we need to reinvigorate this community with mods that actually play the game, understand and know the community, and above all else don't have any desire to make this community the subordinate of another.

This sub is going to die soon anyway. The whole front page is just memes and shit posting. It needs to be useful, right now it's not useful at all. Mod's need to get that fixed before they think about try something more with PA.

I'm pretty new on this sub, only been here since November 2015, but I never went on the PA teamspeak. Why should I, and probably many other players, be ruled by PA mods when the sub and us have nothing to do with it?

From your post, it's ridiculously, glaringly obvious you've probably never played the game or heard from it apart from /r/wargame.

I have mostly kept my views of PA off of the subreddit but now that 4/5 mods are from PA, the situation has clearly changed.

I use to be a moderator on the /r/wargame teamspeak and I am not happy with the way PA is being run. Users are given less permissions than with the former /r/wargame teamspeak and choices are made under the dictatorship of wheat who acts immaturely. I believe it has contributed to an environment that people no longer want to play wargame in which is why I have not seen active people and friends have told me it has become even harder to find a match. I am not the only person who has problems with wheat. Several people, including me, have resigned from their role in Project Awesome because of his attitude, disrespect and intolerance for contrasting opinions.

I am not happy with any of the PA moderators moderating /r/wargame because of two reasons. The first is that they were added for no reason other than because Enzo is a mod at Project Awesome, and the more important one being that they are not active on the subreddit. While some are good people, like volc, they have not used the subreddit for months, and do not contribute to the general discussion.

The reason I am writing this is because I do not want to see /r/wargame become a part of Project Awesome, and this looks like the direction it is heading. While officially project awesome is the teamspeak of the subreddit, it does not mean that they should be able to decide that /r/wargame is a part of PA and eventually implement their own rules. I believe that switching to the PA teamspeak was a mistake, and I should have advocated for a more open setting, sponsoring multiple communities regardless of origin or personal conflicts. While I have effectively stopped playing wargame for a while, I still care about this community and want the best for it.

I think one problem here is that a lot of people (myself included) do not have a clear understanding of how and why the /r/wargame sub got its wagon hitched to the PA train, the state of the /r/wargame mod crew at the time, and how this interfaces with George and xcells separate decision to peace out. It would be, IMO, a good idea for /u/FireFightersFTW to explain clearly the merger, if only to clear the air.

Fuck PA, this sub has absolutely nothing to do with project awesome besides the teamspeak so gay PA rules and event should stay on the PA sub Reddits not this one.
