Trump clearly has the internet crowd, but before we get too wound up in this remember that doesn't represent the entire electorate. Hillary's base is too old to use the internet in many cases so we have to stay on guard.

Just a funny thought: i remember this exact argument 9 years ago when obama was initially running for president "the Republicans are old and stupid they don't use technology" and the hip technology laden youth helped get obama elected.

Odd parallel.

Well the technologically inclined youth from 9 years ago are older now and the younger you get, the less in tune kids tend to be with technology. Since they grew up with interfaces being so clean, they don't have to actually learn it as well. Plus they are too distracted by things like Snapchat

I think you mean dicksnap

I think you mean pussychat

I think you mean Wienerfamilyphotoalbum.

[–]a_cool_goddamn_name 6ポイント7ポイント  (0子コメント)

Anthony's dick's out, but not for Harambe.

What on earth do family photo albums from Vienna have in common with Snapchat.

This is the one I need to download, where is it? I keep downloading the one with the dicks.

Should be named weinersnap after Anthony weiner. Spicy

All of the old people I know absolutely despise Hillary, they may be old, but they aren't stupid, probably the smartest people in the nation.

Clinton's greatest level of support comes from 65+ people. Whereas Trump's bastion of support comes from the age group of 35-50 I believe. All other age groups are actually pretty close

Actually, last time I saw poll data on this, Trump was leading by a small margin in all polled age groups.

Also, wisest.

It's not enough to be smart. You have to be able to use your smarts well.

despise Hillary, they may be old, but they aren't stupid,

And they can remember. Anyone over 30 remembers how the Clintons were in the 80s/90s. Bill was known to be a shyster, but at least a likable one. No one ever liked Hillary. Especially after she stayed with Bill after the Lewinksy incident was made public.

But low and behold there has been some revisioning going on in the younger millennials. Where Bill "saved the economy" and Hillary "fought for healthcare". When in reality they sold regulation reform to wall street and healthcare. Wall Street got theirs in Glass-Steagall repeal. Healthcare didn't get theirs until 2012 with Obamacare.

Both have been total fucking disasters. Unless you ask a liberal.

And old people are the most reliable voters. They always show up to the polls in huge numbers.

The young anti-Brexit crowd got BTFO so hard by the elder generation I still smile when I think about it. 35-50% vs. 75-80% turnout.

As a young Brexiteer, on this occasion, I for one welcome our elderly overlords. Also, the turnout for younger people was actually about 60%, the figure you listed was the predicted percentage straight after the vote. For older people it was over 80%.

Trump is winning the elderly vote I thought?

[–]Based_shitposter_No1AZ 0ポイント1ポイント  (0子コメント)

he is, we remember when AWG and want it back for our kids/grandkids

Nah, Clinton is. Trump's winning 35-50 though, I believe, and they're pretty reliable too. The only really unreliable people are the under 30s.

Yeah, but the Trump appears to have the old vote locked up, I don't think Hillshill is going to get the that much of it.

Hillary couldn't fill house if she held her next rally in a phone booth

I'm only worried that the elites have all ready decided the outcome

Realistically, there's probably going to be a ~5% headwind of voter fraud that we're going to have to overcome. They can only fuck with things so much, lest it it become too obvious.

Hillary's base is too old to use the internet in many cases so we have to stay on guard.

Agreed.

Hillary is too old to use the internet in many cases, so how are her paid shills supporters expected to?

Pretend we are losing and act that we must fight with everything we got.

We can't afford to be complacent and lose.

Yeah. I really wish we'd stop throwing around the "L-word." This is going to come down to the last vote, I fear.

One only has to Google "Romney Landslide 2012" to find tons of similar articles from 4 years ago.

https://www.google.com/#q=romney+landslide+2012

Which is why i love the lefts crazy polls of Hillary up by a wide margin. Let them think they will win and many wont register/vote thinking its in the bag. Caugh caugh Brexist...

Things are looking bright for some off the net as well. After some of his speeches, my "non net" parents who have been die-hard dems for their entire life announced a month or so ago that they will vote Trump...completely shocking the republicans in our family. But yes, on guard and vigilance is important.

Doesn't Hillary have a lot of college graduates supporting her, whereas Trump has a lot of 75k+ people?

I'd think college graduates are part of the internet crowd.

Wonder what that one spike was around 2014

Notice how level-headed the writer and comments are about writing about Trump back in 2014. It wasn't until he ran for President that magically he became this evil, monstrous, racist Fucking White Male who dared to run against the Democrats.

That's pretty dumb if that's true, the man built a building he can put his name on it.

I cannot wait to read the /r/politics sub when Hillary is BTFO.

I'm fairly sure that day will result in my lifelong ban.

These 7 day bans are fairly weak. They just can't handle it.

edit: F**K. Just got another 7 day ban for telling someone their comment was the dumbest one I've ever read. These shills are ridiculous. Watch out /r/politics...I'm coming for you next Wednesday.

Is that shithole still a default sub?

Personally I can't wait to salt mine on /r/TrueReddit

They love to be smug and pretentious and pretend like neutral intellectuals when really they are just partisan SJW zealots for the most part. It will be lovely to see that phony facade temporarily cast aside.

I've had like 7 accounts get a lifetime b&, step your game up.

[–]Hillary_AntoinetteFRA 4ポイント5ポイント  (3子コメント)

Me too. Username problems with me. What about you?

Not op but for me i got shadow banned when i suggested that putin isn't literally hitler.

[–]Hillary_AntoinetteFRA 1ポイント2ポイント  (0子コメント)

If one takes a look at the pile of dead brown bodies Hillary has strewn all over the world due to her bullshit wars, coups, weapon transfers, sales etc etc. It isn't difficult to find a global death rate higher than a million. Combine that with her need for media propaganda and way she shaves her bush to look like his lil 'stache and viola...She's Hitler

Just got my first 7 day ban last week. Felt right.

It honestly might be a positive place since all the CTR trolls will be out of jobs and we can start spamming the page with the upcoming prosecution of Hillary Clinton/Clinton Foundation!

SEO guy here - Google Trends are nice, but they're only 1 indicator. I would use exact keyword query data as a better indicator.

Google search volume (US only) for "Clinton Sign" and "Trump Sign" - https://i.sli.mg/JIzllK.png

Here are some other insights:
1) The MAGA indicator --> https://i.sli.mg/Uo0Cxw.png Trump didn't trademark "Make America Great Again" (Brilliant move). What this did was allow savvy marketers to create merchandise and make money off the slogan which is ultimately tied to the Trump brand. That's why you'll notice so many search terms associated with MAGA that have to do with hats, shirts etc. People are looking to buy MAGA stuff.

Hillary doesn't have the same brand or marketing, and worse no one wants to buy the "I'm with Her" crap. --> https://i.sli.mg/tfDgDI.png

2) Negative Terms --> https://i.sli.mg/CTI1QH.png
The key thing besides the search volume for negative terms related to each candidate IS the trends.

--> Negative Trump queries peaked in Feb with 1.1m searches (skewed by the Drumpf stuff), leveling off now at about 40k/month - https://i.sli.mg/pawe0p.png
--> Negative Hillary queries are more active now --> https://i.sli.mg/gAForN.png

This tells me that people are concerned and that Trump's "Crooked Hillary" narrative is working

EDIT - added more numbers

Have any experience with sentiment analysis? Trump- and Clinton-related trigrams would be really useful.

Yes, that takes a little more effort. Let me see what I can do.

Holy shit "Hurt Feelings" spiked in search when Obama took office and only increased over time.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Wonder why...

Fucking top kek right here, folks.

Good

Maybe if they disavow and quit filtering searches in her favor I will consent to use them again.

Don't be alarmed of you feel the ground start to shift beneath your feet centipedes!

They persecute us if we speak up, so we remain silent, yet steadfast, and proud. In the end, they are afraid, because we are coming for them, and we will not be silenced in November.

BTFO!! Great analysis.

As a Sanders supporter in the primaries, this sub reminds me of S4P big time when it comes to celebrating these sort of headlines.

Funny thing, I've only seen Bernie bumper stickers here. I've only seen 4 but they have been the only political signs, and I've seen all 4 within the past month. I am in a college city so that might be why, but I saw a Bernie sticker 5 cities over too. Haven't seen any MAGA hats, Trump signs, Hillary signs, nothing. I don't remember seeing much political gear in 08 or 12 either, must be the norm.

I've seen two Hillary for prison stickers in the past month.

I saw a guy with a "Hill-fucking-larious" hat in the style of Hillary's logo.

The only time I've seen one, it was a "Ready for Hillary" bumper sticker; it was on the SUV of an old hag who blew through a stop sign at a 3-way stop and almost hit my car.

The only one I've seen was on a VW bug.... That was bright red... Being drove by a male....

This is Hillary's target demographic folks!

Once again similar with Brexit, 'Vote Leave' signs were EVERYWHERE, 'Vote Remain' signs were nowhere to be seen, except maybe in London idk.

The "im with her" vs "maga" graphic is not shocking, but the "im with her" search term could mean anything, and half of those searches might not even be related to the Clinton campaign which puts Trump in an even better spot

Hurt Feelings for Supreme Court!

[–]Arkin_LonginusNY 0ポイント1ポイント  (0子コメント)

Dear Ethan pepper,

Your graphs do not show up on an iPad. I tested it with my android is phone and the graphs show. Might I suggest a change to a different format?

Encouraging for sure, but to be taken with a grain of salt. I'd be curious to see something comparing live stream audiences as well as social media interactions, both negative and positive.

He's right about one obvious point though, lack of excitement for HRC. Checking in from deep blue IL, not one Clinton sign and two (2!) bumper stickers. The difference between now and Obongo is fascinating.

I wonder if there's actually anything Shillary could do at this point to actually lose support. Apparantly lying and murder doesn't even matter

No do not believe all these polls. But still go out and vote!!!!

MAGA, but literally a quote from the article: "Finally, I’m unsure if Google’s data may indicate a landslide for Trump"

Trump all the way. If they mess with the electoral vote....???

I'm living in the UK in the moment and pretty much every source I've seen - barring the ones with an agenda (CNN etc.) - have said that Trump has a massive following on the ground.

On the British networks political analysts constantly say that when you actually go out and talk to people the American population is much more pro-Trump than the polls would suggest.
