I'd say it's Blind's spot to lose at this point. Until he gives Jose a reason to bench him, he's played far too well to be dropped for no reason. I think Bailly's physicality pairs well with Blind's reading of the game. Ultimately, if it's not broke, don't fix it.

Jinx pal. Same comment, yours was just more eloquent.

Agreed, that's the thing I liked about LvG. If you were performing you don't lose your spot even if your a big name like Di Maria losing out to Young.

Bailly is young, and young players are very inconsistent. I don't think it's a stretch to think he might be taken out of the lineup before Blind, who is about as consistent as you can get.

I think we'll see Blind play until there's an apparent need for a shuffle in the backline. Don't fix what ain't broke.

Both Blind and Bailly have played really well in the first few matches so i can't see either of them losing their spot yet, but i can see Jose maybe playing Smalling instead of Blind if he thinks it will work better against our opponent.

If Aguero is out and that makes bony first choice, I'd back Smalling all day over Blind without any hesitation. Next match we look at it again.
