General Information

Rules

  • Rule #1 Harassment of others is strictly forbidden. We will not tolerate any kind of incitement to action against anyone, nor will we allow the posting of information that can be used to harm others (celebrities or not).
  • Rule #2 We will not allow behavior contrary to reddiquette, e.g. brigading, witch-hunting, vote manipulation, flamebaiting, clickbaiting, text spamming or intentional rudeness.
  • Rule #3 Don't link to threads in other subreddits. This includes NP links and archived links. Do not attempt to circumvent this rule by any means.
  • Rule #4 Screenshots of Reddit, Facebook, Youtube, and other site's comments should have the usernames blacked out (including yours). Celebrities are the exception, as long as you respect rule #1.
  • Rule #5 No referral or affiliate links/codes.
  • Rule #6 The following will be removed at moderator discretion:
    • Content that is unrelated, especially unoriginal or low-effort (including simple website/software bugs and box posts without accompanying hardware or build photos).
    • Blatant reposts/fad-chasing.
    • Reaction images/gifs (unless very high-effort/especially original).
    • Attempts to concern troll.
  • Rule #7 Age, nationality, race, gender, sexuality, religion and economic status are all irrelevant here. All are welcome in the PC Master Race. Also, linking the PC Master Race with racial supremacy or any kind of fascist ideologies, or making distasteful analogies in this regard, is not acceptable in the slightest.
  • Rule #8 No begging. No soft begging. No trading. No selling.
  • Rule #9 Don't mark your post as NSFW unless it actually is NSFW. Message the mods first if your submission has nudity.
  • Rule #10 Screenshots of "peasantry," namely of conversations on Reddit and other websites where ignorance is being spewed and/or ridiculed, must be text posts.

Giveaway Rules

  • The Master Race is generous. When we do giveaways we do it within the bounds of our subreddit. Feel free to give prizes as you see fit, but don't mandate subscriptions or other benefits. You can post about your channel or project, but don't make it a requirement to visit, comment or subscribe to an external place to enter a giveaway or to increase the likelihood of winning.
  • Even if you do a giveaway, you can not directly promote a specific giveaway happening elsewhere.
  • Please avoid posting keys in plain text or on images. Consider PMs as a safer way to hand out keys.
  • Users giving away physical items must provide photo proof of ownership (including their username and date) in the giveaway thread. Shipping fees must be entirely financed by the user doing the giveaway (limiting the winner's location is allowed).
  • No conditional (I will only giveaway if) giveaways. If you start it, someone must win it.
  • Giveaways shouldn't last an absurd amount of time, nor should they be absurdly difficult to enter or win.
  • Charity giveaways must be verified by moderators.

Honestly it was expected after EU declared access to the internet as a human right.
[–]Blix- -8 points-7 points-6 points  (18 children)
And yet they still won't declare the right to bear arms as a human right.
[–]Lolsternater 5 points6 points7 points  (17 children)
Good. Running around with an easy to carry potential to kill is not a good thing.
[–]liafcipe9000PC Master RaceI am good little PC :D -1 points0 points1 point  (0 children)
it is if everyone has them. IIRC Yemen allows everyone to carry guns, and according to this one TV show I saw once the crime rate there is very low because nobody fucks with an angry motherfucker with a gun.
also, criminals will always have a way to obtain weapons illegally. wouldn't you like your civilians to be on par with such criminals? that will ensure they'll think twice before they choose to commit crimes.
[–]Blix- -4 points-3 points-2 points  (15 children)
Yes, it is. Not only are personal weapons good for self defense, the right to bear arms keeps us safe from a tyranical government. Government, in general, is the leading cause of human death and suffering. Why do you only want the government to have the ability to kill people?
[–]DisprayLaptop 5 points6 points7 points  (1 child)
I'm pretty sure the leading cause of death is heart disease.
[–]Blix- -4 points-3 points-2 points  (0 children)
You can't compare a disease to something like murder. People choose to eat unhealthy, people don't choose to get murdered by their government. 100 million people were killed last century just due to the rise of communism.
[–]Lolsternater 2 points3 points4 points  (2 children)
I'd rather have no need for anyone to have guns. Not the government, not the people, not the army. Humanity is getting to the point where we don't need them anymore, problems should be solved with diplomacy and negotiation, not "I've got a bigger stick than you, so ha!" That's how children behave on playgrounds.
[–]Blix- 1 point2 points3 points  (1 child)
If no one has arms, including the government, then would be a good argument. Until there's a real and strong trend to demilitarizing all governments, the right to bear arms should be considered the most basic human right because it protects the rights of citizens from government itself.
But even then, you can never truly disarm people because people have actual arms that can be used to fight. In a self defense scenario, firearms equalize the playing field between the strong and weak. People can produce guns in a garage. People can make a very cheap and effective bomb out of acetone and peroxide. You'll never get rid of arms.
[–]Lolsternater 1 point2 points3 points  (0 children)
Yeah. It's a fantasy to hope people stop killing each other. But hey, it's a nice thought right?

the right to bear arms keeps us safe from a tyranical government.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
That government can kill you from tens of thousands of feet in the air, and will gladly do so if it decides that doing so would help secure its interests. You'd never even see it coming, let alone get a chance to actually fire your pathetic excuse for a weapon.
[–]Skeletal738Mac HeathenActually Hackintosh, I just like the pink flair. 1 point2 points3 points  (7 children)
The idea that you could fight the fucking GOVERNMENT with a bunch of pea shooter commercial guns is laughable. If they wanted to kill us, we'd be dead already.
The governments that run the world don't want to kill anyone, they just want to make as much money as they can, there's a difference.
[–]Blix- -1 points0 points1 point  (6 children)
There are 150 million armed citizens in the US and only 5 million armed police and military personnel. Not only would the citizens automatically win against the government, citizens could probably do it even without the right to bear arms. We out number them
[–]Skeletal738Mac HeathenActually Hackintosh, I just like the pink flair. 1 point2 points3 points  (5 children)
Because handguns and ARs have such an easy time bringing down a Reaper drone, don't they?
[–]Blix- 0 points1 point2 points  (4 children)
They're good at killing the operator, or forming perimeters around the operators base to cut off food supplies. Not to mention city water stations aren't heavily guarded at all. There's just no realistic way the government could control everyone
[–]Skeletal738Mac HeathenActually Hackintosh, I just like the pink flair. 1 point2 points3 points  (3 children)
And where the fuck would you know where the operator was? Get real man, it's not the 1700s anymore, they could be based anywhere.
And anyway, quick reality check, last time I checked, barely nobody has had a gun in the UK for decades and we're not exactly in 1984.
[–]Blix- -1 points0 points1 point  (1 child)
Well it would have to land somewhere. That's not even the point though.
And the UK isn't living in 1984? Y'all don't even have free speech. You can get arrested in the UK for making an offensive tweet. Not a threatening tweet, an offensive tweet. That's insane.
