This might be the wrong section for this issue, but I feel like it's the best place for it.

So, for the last 6 years now I've been washing and detailing my neighbors cars as a little side job. Most of my customers were very satisfied with my work. I also did my next door neighbor's cars (who are like family to me and my family).

The business has slowed down quite a bit due to the drought (I'm in CA), so I'm not nearly as busy as before. Mostly just doing my cars and sometimes my nextdoor neighbors. However, recently I told them that I only want to wash my parents, my brother's and my car now because it was getting to be too much maintenance for my products when I would do all the other cars.

I told the wife on the phone about this and she didn't seem too happy about it, but she said, "Ok....I have to respect that." This was a few weeks ago. NOW, here's the part that I don't understand and need help with. My brother went next door last week and when he came back home he told me that the wife was pissed off at me. Like livid. Her husband actually got me a job a couple months ago and although that's besides the point, she's coming up with these reasons to be angry. "My husband got him a job. Where's his loyalty?" My brother told me that she said this. We've known them for 6 years now and I've done a lot of favors for them. Even for free a bunch of times.

Another thing that she claimed I said was that I was referring to her and her husband as "other people" or "anyone else." I never even said that on the phone. I clearly explained to her that I just want to wash an detail my parent's, my brother's and my own car due to the product usage.

I heard a few other things from my brother that I don't want to mention here, but I don't get why she's taking offense to all of this. She seemed fine like 3 weeks ago and now she's furious.

Any ideas on why she might be like this and what to do about it? Should I just avoid her/ignore? She hasn't approached me about it so for all she knows, I have no idea that she's mad, but still. I honestly don't even want to go near her at this point if she's going to be like this.
