To be honest this isn't particularly pertinent until we trigger Article 50 and officially negotiate terms of leaving.

Whether our economy is boosted or sees a marginal decline as a result of leaving is essentially irrelevant to me anyway, my vote to leave was always based on core principles over potential short or long-term economic considerations.

I am if the opinion that economic issues will never win a vote. They didn't for Brexit and they're not going to for November. For you Brits an economic retardation is a non-issue because even if everything decreases a bit, you're still far better off than the majority of the world, and, more importantly, Europe.

Came here to say this. It's too soon to make any determinations about economic impact, because nothing has actually changed. All the market moves and economic fluctuations are strictly speculative.

They haven't even left yet. Something the article likes to ignore until half way down. It's all about how well they negotiate with the EU.

The opposition was more than happy to blame the decline on the result of the vote. Now that the anxiety has worn off, we see that there was never anything to worry about up until now.

The decline was based on the vote. People freaked out. Once they realized there wasn't a reason to freak out, at least yet, things came back. This is 100% a non story. Only time will tell what is going to happen. There are so many variables at play, it's almost impossible to predict what is going to happen.

It's almost like people in this thread don't know how market speculation works.

No shit. The European is a failure and a corruption of the the ideals of free trade.

I can have free trade with Canada without being Canadian or submitting to Canadian governance.

That is the whole fucking point.

Hopefully now that the free trade agreement with the EU has collapsed we can move on a bilateral free trade agreement with the UK. Maybe even allow freedom of movement

Took a dip and then recovered once brokers knew what the future had in store for a independent UK.

A weak GBP boosts exports and profitability of other foreign ventures. That's a nice short-term gain, but the long term impact is still a bit unknown.
