Is this the first time that Mourinho has had full control over which players are bought for the club?

Thinking back, I know they bought a few players at Chelsea he didn't want, knowing how Real operate it seems unlikely there too.

The only clubs I have no real knowledge are Inter and Porto. Is anyone able to shed any light on his past dealings with these teams?

It would be real interesting to figure that this is the first time he essentially has full control over the first team signings, and how that may impact his longevity at United.
