Marouane Fellaini helped Manchester United fan amid Hull City celebrations

Marouane Fellaini had to help a woman pushed against an advertising board, while another man had to be carried away after being hurt, amid wild celebrations as Manchester United scored a late winner against Hull City on Saturday night.

Marcus Rashford scored in the second minute of added time to give Manchester United a 1-0 win at the KCOM Stadium, leading celebrating players to gather in front of the North Stand, where the travelling fans were seated.

Jubilant fans then piled forward to move closer to the players, leading an advertising board in front of them to collapse, with some supporters entering the pitch. Fellaini spotted the distressed woman and pointed her out to a steward.

The celebrations were good natured despite the difficulties of some fans, and a product of the euphoria created by Rashford's strike.

Luke Shaw, who was amid a huddle of celebrating players at the end, told MUTV: "To have the fans celebrating with us made it even more special. As players, we could see how much the result meant to the fans, and the fans could see how much it meant to us and the whole club."

Jose Mourinho paid tribute to Fellaini's work-rate afterwards and confirmed the midfielder is now set for a spell on the sidelines with a back injury.

Mourinho told BT Sport: "Marouane is a special guy for us in our defensive work.

"He has an injury in his back. It's not good."
