Lifelong 49ers fan here. What Kap did last night was absolutely ridiculous. (And don't let anyone fool you, he did it in the first two preseason games too. He just didn't suit up so no one noticed or cared.)
This guy needs to check his privilege at the door. His white privilege. His white privilege he got from his mom. His white privilege he got from his adoptive parents. His two adoptive parents who are upper middle class. The privilege of getting an athletic scholarship in two sports to a mostly white university. This guy hasn't been oppressed once in his fucking life. The only oppression he sees is from opposing defenses who kick the shit out of him because they figured out his niche a long time ago.
There are many reports that have said that he was a pretty decent guy until he bought his second year of college, then fame went to his head and it hasn't left. Now he's all rooting for this black lives matter bullshit like the uneducated kid we all know him to be, obvious by his lack of understanding of an NFL playbook.
He obviously has no one in his family who has ever been involved in the military in any way, shape or form, otherwise he would understand the gravity of what he did.
He has every right to sit his ass down during the national anthem. But we have every right to chew his ass for it too.
You can see on the internet how much people are pissed about this. The only ones taking his side are the BLM activists and the impressionable youth, and the far left people. Everyone else is upset about this. Especially 49ers fans. And we have a fandom in some of the most liberal areas of this country.
