I'm a Rooney critic and don't believe he really warrants a first team spot but he was better than Zlatan this week. Yes, he lost the ball a lot, 3 times in 30 seconds at one point, but he made a few nice runs, brought people into the game, had a few nice corners and created the goal. Far from perfect but more constructive than Zlatan. Hull just pressed and pressured well. Rooney, Pogba, Valencia and Zlatan all wasted posession a lot. Give some credit to Hull for that.

I'd rather Miki in for Mata, but as long as we're winning I'm content with Rooney there. Both Rooney and Martial need to improve to keep their spot though, because Lingard and Rashford deserve game time and Memphis deserves a chance.
