Customer Reviews
Fun at first but looses its charm.
I wrote my original post below after paying only for a few days. Note I see flaws. One, tapping barely gets anything, and leaving it to auto build vitality is worse. It's great until you get to about the k level stuff. For instance I have pretty high level of coral, rock, and have the power ups (ie auto tap) yet still, after leaving the game to store it's vitality up its still not even an eighth of what it needs for a be fish, and I can only grow a coral 3 clicks till it runs out. And no tapping doesn't help.
This was fun at first but it's become a waste of space. I'm no longer happy playing this game, but annoyed at the fact it's impossible to make actual progress.
Original post: This is truly a great app. It's so simple. It's just... Tapping. Or heck don't even do that, let out go on its own. But it's so enjoyable to grow your little tank and see a lonely stone behind a thriving sea of coral and fish. My only request is to add more. More fish, coral, and customisation such as moving coral around. I think that would be nice and make everyone have a different tank as opposed to different numbers of stuff. Either way though this is nice and I actually want to continue to play. It's so peaceful. And the sweet comments from the rock is great. Asking if you're taking care of yourself and whatnot is a cute touch.
Pretty, but flawed...
As others have said, the aesthetic of this game is very pleasant. The graphics are gorgeous and the animals all move smoothly and lifelike. The corals and other flora are colorful and it's fun working your way up to new types, even though it takes quite a bit of time.
But, there are bugs, which haven't been fixed with the new update. It can be laggy and it isn't allowing me to save pictures I take, which is barring me from a few of the secret fish. I know it isn't a lack of space, I keep very few photos on this phone, so it's something about the game. It just keeps giving me an error message whenever I try to save a picture.
That, and the expenses. Making five of the fish purchasable with real money is fine. The fact that none of them are needed to get the dugong is also fine. What isn't fine is that two of the packs are ABSURDLY expensive. $50 for the humpback whale and $100 for the harp seal? Are you for real??? Who would buy that? I want the humpback whale, it's my favorite marine animal, but like hell I'm dropping fifty bucks plus tax on a mobile game. Never gonna happen. The developers should be ashamed of themselves.
Great game
I've seen people that are complaining about glitches, but I've yet to encounter any (granted I've only had the game for a pretty short amount of time.)But the glitches I've read about don't even seem like that much of a problem. Okay, so you can't unlock a few fish for a little bit. Who cares? And a games rating should be knocked down 2 stars for a simple gimmick that's a little faulty, and probably get fixed in the next update. In my opinion, the game deserves a solid 5 stars.
