Being a man who has been struggling with unemployment for the past 5 months it has really opened my eyes to how we are treated in general and discriminated against during the hiring process. These are personal experiences of mine and i'm very aware that it doesn't apply to every company or individual but i just wanted to share it with /r/MGTOW and let you guys decide.
A few years ago i decided to move to Chicago, Ended up being semi-homeless sleeping in a car for about a month during the winter due to being scammed by a Realtor. During this period of time i had contacted 40+ homeless prevention/assistance and shelter agencies within the Chicago and surrounding areas, I was flabbergasted when i was told by each and every agency that responded to my request that they couldn't help me unless i was: a female struggling with domestic abuse, a single mother or a homeless family *(w/ proof of marriage). Many of these were non-profit organizations, churches and overall organizations which i had always believed were there to help our community, guess i was wrong.
Eventually i get back on my feet, relocated to a different state and found a great paying job.
Approximately 5-months ago i lose my job due to me just not giving a fck anymore, I always heard of gender discrimination within the workplace but had never personally witnessed it until then. My supervisor was a female and it was very obvious that she would give the *'girls' preference, Meaning we had shifts where all the women would congregate in the office sitting down/talking etc. while us Men would be literally doing all the work - meanwhile they would remained punched-in/getting paid the entire time. I would bring this issue up several times and it would just get laughed at or the supervisor would say "we'll talk about it in the next meeting" etc. Eventually i was fed-up and took it to HR and i was told i would remain anonymous that was however NOT THE CASE and i ended up being outed by the chick in HR which led to my supervisor and her girlfriends making it difficult for me within the workplace until i just decided to walk-out.
This is where i got to thinking and researching, There are less opportunities/resources for Men then there are for Animals. As sad as it sounds we're just the bottom of the barrel, The only time we are useful in society is either when they need us to do the heavy lifting, be the breadwinners or sexual pleasure/procreating. Women on the other hand have far more resources at their disposal, Are given more leeway (/r/pussypass) and as of most-recently they're paid equal to men despite doing LESS of the work.
Why isn't anyone speaking out against this inequality as loudly as Feminist are constantly discussing equality etc. ? Who's the spokes-person or group that speaks for the male gender? Why aren't Men taken as serious when these issues are brought-up?
tl;dr Women have more resources then Men, We seem to struggle far more financially and yet they still have the audacity to ask for equal-pay for doing less-work. smh
