Sadly yes, the UK picks up on a lot of American trends and has versions of it's own. It has it's own alt-right, mutliculturalism and EU-hating factions. In fact, a lot of American alt-right people were rooting the bigoted British brexit voters during the referendum. It's a thing.

The alt right has been around here for some time. On a two party system there is not a lot of space for rhe fringes.

Many countries in Europe have more than two parties, which makes it easier for the extreme to get into rhe system.

In Belgium, The Netherlands, France, Germany, Britain and Austria the extreme right has been around for some time.

The influx of one million Syrian refugees has made it worse
