In every Star Citizen thread you can see with your own eyes the terror that this entitiy, yes entity, for I hesitate to call it just a game, commands on the masses. Ever since it's inception it has been designed to push boundaries of what was possible. And with every update extraordinary milestones that were thought impossible just a few years before were reached. With each success the ambitons of this entity grow and there is no limit to what it can achieve.
People are terrified of this. Terrified of what it has the potential to become. A game so good that it will make their favourite games look like children's toys, a game so complex that it will make what they consider deep look like a puddle, an experience so immersive that it will blow away anything ever seen before, a game that could possibly even make The Witcher 3 look mediocre. In short it could make all people have held dear over the years obsolete and some people refuse to accept that. It is tough to let go of what you know and love but each new alpha build shows just how inevitable the reign of Star Citizen is. All you can do now is let go of your fear and accept the future.
It's a new world we are entering and new ground we are treading. Yet we continue to have to face those who would rather see us fail by instigating controversy and downvoting. But such is the story of progress, those that do not embrace the future will be left behind.
EDIT: To those of you who are downvoting - you're just emphasizing my point. But soon the inevitable day of reckoning (ie the release) will come and don't think we will forget which side you stood on then. And in that momemnt of triumph, when the most perfect game will have been created and it will shine with all it's incredible technology, groundbraking graphics and unparalleld scale....Then all those doubters and naysayers will look up and stare in awe wanting to play.... and we'll look down and whisper: ''No.''
