Tottenham vs Liverpool

Countinho just missed (shot got saved) from 8 yards with no pressure LOLOL

12min - Kane showed great strength to hold off the defender and break free. Poor ball control and got lucky after being tackled and ball fell to Alli whose shot got blocked. Rose picks up the looseball crosses to Alli who shot wide

13min - Quick counter attack by Liverpool showed how dangerous Mane's pace is but Countinho was offside

18min - Liverpool continues to break from the wings, this time it was Mane again but Vorm was quick off the line and made a crucial tackle

21min - Another counter from Liverpool after a poor free kick from Tottenham. Lallana releases Mane, and once gain Vorm rushes off the line and made an excellent tackle

25min - Great ball over the defence by Mane to find Countinho who forces Vorm into a save

32min - Match seems to be turning feisty

42min - Goal Firminho did job to reach the ball and go around Lamela who clipped Firmnho in the box. Penalty which Milner converts

Tottenham has been pretty poor so far this season, probably missing Dembele. Liverpool has had the better chances but Vorm has been brilliant. Gameplan by Liverpool seems to be focused on the wings. Mane especially has escaped the offside trap and broke free from Tottenham's defence multiple times. Not sure what Tottenham's game plan is, they seem to be hoofing it up to Kane and Janssen constantly. Only half-chance by Tottenham is when Kane broke free down the flank whose cross was cleared to Alli who failed to convert. Very poor mistake by Lamela and Liverpool got a penalty and a goal lead as a result

52min - Good ball by Milner from a corner and Matip hits the crossbar

55min - Mane scores but offside. Wijnaldum took way too long to release Lallana there

61min - Dier sends in a good pull back which Eriksen fail to convert. Best chance Spurs had

70min - GOAL Goal by Rose. Poor marking by Moreno Milner and Dier got released. Cross got headed away but fell to Rose who slot home cooly

91min - Golden chance for Liverpool with the counterattack but the ball to Firminho was not quick enough to exploit the space. Great recovery from Alderwield to recover the ball

It was literally the same as our pen against Southampton. Firminho's trailing leg is clipped causing him to trip himself up. Exactly what happened to Shaw.

Of course it's a bloody penalty. Classie clipped Shaw in the box, causing him to lose balance and Lamela clipped Firminho in the box, causing him to lose balance. How on earth is that not a pen?

Sorry but it absolutely was a penalty. He knocked his foot which meant his heel clipped his other heel and he couldn't stay up. Even though Lamela didn't mean it, it is still clumsy and is still a penalty.

Annoying fans aside, I don't actually mind Liverpool winning today... I think Spurs will be playing a bigger role in the title race than them

Do you guys remember when we were linked with Mane last year and most people thought he wasn't good enough for us. I couldn't believe it. I think he's class and is perfect for the EPL. Hes going to carry Liverpool this season. All he needs to do is be a bit more consistent.

We got Mkhitaryan, he's in a completely different league compared to Mane. Mkhi is the quality we need, not Mane who is good for 2 months and goes missing the next 3.

Alli in midfield doesn't look good too. As you said, Poch's system is very intense and if they do try their best in the CL then they will probably drop some points in the league as a result. Can see them dropping out of it early to concentrate fully on the league.

Tactics were pretty questionable for Spurs. Liverpool had a solid gameplan to exploit Spurs' highline but failed to make good of their chances. Hopefully both teams continue to be as poor today for the rest of the season
