This post goes into the "how little women are offering" bin.
If you're at all familiar with more traditional or past (like ~100 - ~200 years ago) culture, you'd know that women used to get married way earlier.
Because most traditional culture had some kind of arranged marriage, it was common for women to get married at around 16 of age. That's also about the age that most agree that women peak in physical beauty, at least in some regards. This view actually still exists in current culture, Britney Spears released Baby One More Time when she was 18, and so much porn are produced in the teen genre for the target audience of men between 12 y.o to 100 y.o.
The picture is different if all you watch are mainstream tv and movies though. You will be bombarded with the message that 30 sth women are BEAUTIFUL, and they deserve the man of their dreams, and they have plenty of time to pick and choose. I believe this is driven by economic incentives. Need to keep the age group happy? check! Need to sell more make-up and handbags? check!
You have to unplug from mainstream media to see the truth. It's not far though. One thing you can do is compare pictures of celebrity from the time they're 18 to when they're 30 and see for yourself. If you have facebook (I don't), you can also take a look at how your high school classmates look now. I can hardly recognize women from high school b/c they've aged so much.
I'm not saying that all women needs to get married at 18 or that all men should find teenagers to marry. However, it's also ridiculous to pretend that women does not get significantly less attractive when they're approaching 30. I think this is just something to keep in mind when considering what women are offering when it comes to things like long term commitment and marriage. You must not only consider what you see at the moment, but also what it will become over the next decades.
There's also the interesting psychology issue that women have always been young ( and enjoyed all the privileges of being a young girl ) until they aren't young anymore. I've seen this discussed before, so I won't say anything, but it's also good to keep in mind.
