Hi, I appreciate the help. I would like it to be in southern Indiana with wooded or partial wooded and would allow camping tents, large event tent, bonfires, and room for parking. I don't like the idea of renting a venue because people then have to get to their resting location and I would like to give people the option to camp to prevent drinking and driving. Also the venues have a curfew and that kills the mood for a wedding especially if people are having fun and want to keep going into the night. I'm looking about 80 guests or less for the event.
Any ideas? Ive been finding it difficult to find anything online. Thank you .
Edit: I should reframe this question. Does anyone have land they would like to rent out for a wedding party of 80 people or less? I appreciate solutions and not people who tell me what I can and cannot do.

This place doesn't mention camping but they might be open to it: http://clayshirecastle.com/

Morgan-Monroe has campgrounds and woods, Hoosier nat'l has campgrounds and woods... There are literally places all over southern Indiana that are exactly what you describe. Have you checked into any of those?

I'll check it out. I appreciate your help.

No problem! While in thinking of it you can check around lake patoka, lake Monroe.. I figure down by French lick probably has some good spots too. Hope you guys find something!!!

I went to a wedding like this before at a campground. That's what you are looking for is a private campground where you can rent out a whole section.

That's a good idea...ill mull it over.

"That said, check out the existing campgrounds and look for the various places that have held motorcycle rallies. They are at least open to leasing to partiers. Bean Blossom comes to mind...there are several campgrounds that open them selves to it in the area."

Check New Harmony campground. I think they'll rent out a large section of their campground with enough advanced notice.
Maybe check around Vincennes as well. They do big reenactment camps annually so likely have some areas that can accommodate.

Thank you, I'll look into that.

Thank you, this is cool.

Bradford Woods rents out its north location to LARPers. However, I don't think they like people bringing their own booze.

You might try talking to a real estate agent. It will be hard to find someone willing to rent, and the price will likely be very high due to the inevitable property damage.
I'd also recommend rethinking some of your ideas. Especially the bonfires and on-site sleeping accommodations. Maybe go with a single bonfire and some sort of prearranged transportation like a bus/shuttle.

We sell property not license its destruction.

My ideas are fine. Im not asking for people's opinions about our plans but if there are people that can help me make this a reality.

If you are serious about your ideas and number of guests then you should hire an event coordinator. Most wedding planners don't regularly deal with events like this and are ill-prepared to help. Find someone with experience handling groups of this size. They will be able to help you find an appropriate site, and teach you what to expect with events of this size and scope.

I don't need an event coordinator. It's not that complicated. Thanks.

Not helpful. I'm sure there is someone that would be glad for the extra money and doesn't care about potential property damage.
And I don't understand what property could be damaged if it's just land?
[–]ancilla1998 1 point2 points3 points  (2 children)
How about ... the land itself? Tire ruts, out of control fires, human waste - all of these things can ruin the dirt and land itself. Why would someone be willing to give you free license to destroy something that has value to them.
[–]MarnietheDoug[S] -3 points-2 points-1 points  (1 child)
it sounds like you're talking about farm animals, thanks for the comparison. Also, thanks for judging my character right off the bat as if I'm some piece of trash. I would bring in someone to set up bathroom facilities and remove them. The fires would not be "out of control" as if you already know what's going to happen.
It wouldn't be free. It would be paid for.

You're going to vouch for the character of 80 people?

Try Clayshire Castle?

I made a point that I don't want a venue.
