Just a little anecdote: I went to Trump's rally in New Orleans, when his primary win was likely but not yet certain (Cruz...oy.) The crowd was sizable, considering that Orleans Parish is mostly Democrat, so his fans had to either travel a distance, or were (like me) living in politically hostile territory.

First point: everybody was enthralled by the Trump plane touching down, and since the rally was at the Lakefront Airport, in a hangar, people got to experience it, sort of aimed right us, like it was a space shuttle landing. It felt more like a launch.

Second point: I had to leave the event about a half hour early before Trump was done, because of an emergency...(my dad's health is iffy)...but as I was walking back to my truck, which was parked about a half mile away, the further I got, the better, clearer, Trump's booming voice became. (The parking was quite a distance from the airport - Trump had provided rather nice buses for people to get to the hangar, which moved like the Disney World entrance trams. But I was leaving out of schedule, hoofed it.) So, finally at my parking place, I was looking across a small inlet of Lake Pontchartrain, at the long WW2 airstrip isthmus that had become the Lakefront Airport, and saw this glowing blue hangar, beams shooting out due to spotlights. And Trump's voice was in something beyond 7.1 surround sound. His roar was just perfectly tuned to the echoes of the distant buildings. I wished that I could have recorded the moment with a tripod and good mics, because it was fucking mystical.
