I like the story and sci fi concept that IW is bringing.

can laugh all you guys want, but once the day comes CoD will sell the millions they normally do. the croud that buys those games, dosent come to subreddits, or forums, at most they visit IGN from time to time.

and BF1 is a just reskin of BF4 IMO, dont know why people think BF and CoD are so different, they have much more in common than different.

Infinite Warfare looks decent but Battlefield 1 has definitely stolen the spotlight. Hopefully Dice has learned from their mistakes with BF4 and maybe this time Infinity Ward can redeem themselves from CoD:Ghosts. I'm sure they'll both pull in a great amount of money, more or less.

I'd put money on IW selling more than BF1, regardless of whether or not it's the 'better' game and has better reviews.

Basing popularity on one isolated study is as stupid as basing it on YT views. YT views do not represent what people necessarily want. The trailer might have been more popular.

Also, remember when BF4 released and this sub was crying their hearts out over how buggy and shitty it was?

And now many people upvoting this are wooing the new game all over again over a popularity contest.

I'm gonna be honest, I was more excited for BF1 when I heard "World War 1 game!"

But after seeing the trailers and gameplay? I have no interest. Its not a WW1 game. Its a WWII game with a WW1 skin over the top of it. There is a ridiculous amount of full auto weapons and other ridiculous things that were pretty much never used. I don't recall seeing a single trench in the latest trailer.

It plays like every other battlefield game ever made. And after the terrible game that was Battlefront, I have no interest in a DICE game that also doesn't really give me anything new.

The joke used to be that every Call of Duty is the same, year after year, but its really the same for Battlefield now too.

And I think the stupid meme campaign to dislike the Call of Duty trailer was just loony. Most of the people who I saw complaining were complaining that it wasn't a game set in the past, and I thought "God forbid Call of Duty do something different for once"

This whole circlejerk of "hur dur Battlefield #1, Call of Duty is shit" is just childish.

I don't plan on buying either game.

I might be controversial here but I don't really care for either. I think BF looks the same and seems to play the same all-in-all but now with old timey weapons and handlebar moustaches.

Futuristic settings I think work way better with games like this, it gives an easy excuse for whacky new technologies and game mechanics, so kudos to COD for sticking with it even tho fan reception wasn't the best.

Bottom line, if anything I'll probably look into titanfall 2 on release and hope there's more than 5 minutes of player retention compared to the 1st one...

I don't think either game looks that good, but Infinite Warfare doesn't aggravate me quite as much. BF1 claims to be set in the First World War, but people are still running around with automatic weapons and there's barely any proper trenches to be seen; anyone with even a passing acquaintance with military history can see a problem there.
