Excellent read, especially for an athlete autobiography.

amazing. great insight into how the business side of football works, showing the lengths Mino Raiola goes to get the best for his players. Also shows how Zlatan developed from a boy going for a kick about in the park to full blown professional against all odds

It's a fascinating read, but the ghostwriter has since admitted he made stuff up

Obviously, it wouldn't be anywhere near as good if he had to use real quotes only throughout the book.

Like it says in the article: he's a writer, not a journalist.

Before you buy it off of Amazon, see if you can find a fan-translated version online. It's been done by this guy who's a Milan fan if I remember correctly. I read it when it first came out (around 2012 if I remember correctly) so I don't know if I still have the link but if I find it, I'll post it here.

It's one of my favourite books. It's been told in a really honest sort of way. Just having that along with recollections of his times at all those great clubs made it a great book for me.

What's the difference between the original and fan translateD?

I got it for Christmas a few years back and finished it in a few hours. It's a very entertaining and eye-opening take on the football world seen in Zlatans (and the authors...) eyes. It basically chronicles the behind the scenes at every club from Malmo to Milan, especially how the transfers came about.

I wasn't a big Zlatan fan before I read his book. I really liked the book and then started watching more of his games. Now that hes on united Im loving it. Id give it a read. Also, if you want to read good autobiographys on soccer icons, Id read Pirlos book after Zlatans. It was also pretty good.

aside Pirlo and Zlatan, whose book should I get? Already got Fergie & Gary's books and I am considering getting more.

I've read Charlton, Robson, Scholes, Beckham, Wazza, and Cantona. All were interesting enough reads. I also didnt buy them. Just found them online and read them on my phone and tablet.
