Can randimods shadowban ppl?? (self.indiadiscussion)

Like the person is allowed to comment and vote but his comments wont be visible to anyone?

I had read somewhere that shadowbanning was removed from reddit.. Then how come this sort of thing can happen?

Aah.. They told me they caught my msgs on spam filter and on politics.. Since my id is just new.. After msging them my commenrs are now visible tho

Yup. Its not a shadowban in the actual sense. Just that your account is added to spam filter, which sort of performs the same action.

Automod can be used to create a similar effect. It's effectively just three lines of code

type: any
author: ["user1", "user2",  "user3"]
action: remove

Since I didn't add code to comment or message you, you won't even know that your submissions are being removed from a certain subreddit
