So, it looks like Donnie has gone about a whole week without doing something that would disqualify any other candidate. I suppose this qualifies as a "pivot" at this point.
I am watching his current speech in Dimondale, Michigan right now, and he's really banging the populist war drums and all that nonsense.
He is also making a plea for the African American vote,ironic though it may be , given the outward support that the white supremacist movement has been giving him.
I can see this message resonating with a lot of people who don't think it all the way through on the "how" of all his absurd promises.
How long do you think this will last?
Will he get a bump in the African American polling (currently at 1%)?
What is a good strategy to take him back off track before the first debate?
Edit: I would also ask everyone to remember that people in this country seem to be especially vulnerable to the paranoid style of politics and accept nicely packaged conspiracy theories and reject reality because it is not as cut and dried.
